I at least am really excited about this. There seems to be real improvements and I'm glad they changed the dev team. It's true that about all other companies would've just called it quits or made ridiculous amounts of patches to try and make it better, but SE really deserves my respects. I have not hated single FF game I've played. Loved, or at least liked all of them, even spin-offs, and I'd hate it if I'd hate XIV. XIII was bit of a disappointment, but I don't think it's bad game, I was just too hyped for it and expected too much. I still don't think I have any less hype for XIV, no matter how disappointing previous game was or how crappy previous version of this game was, it's still Final Fantasy :D
@vg3000 @jeremybristol It will stay F2P, Sega has said so and I don't see any point changing it, it would just alienate fans and it'd be unfair to japanese people if their game suddenly went to subscription, or unfair to us if we had to pay monthly and japanese would not.
@jeremybristol I'm playing PSO2 now, downloaded the japanese version with english patch that translates a little bit of the quests and about all of the menu system. The game really is a lot of fun even if i have no idea what the story is supposed to be :) I really recommend downloading the japanese version to at least try it out.
I think it would be great if Sony and Microsoft would make a console that would be like dvd or blu-ray player. I mean, you don't have to buy different kind of dvd player for movies published by different people, you only need 1 player. Next gen consoles should be like that, then people could just buy the console from either one of them and there would be no console war etc. I think that would be the best solution, even for MS ans Sony, there's bound to be people who are fans of that particular company, and people will buy their console, and if they add some of their own gadgets to them like Kinect and Move, they can attract more customers, but whichever console you buy, all games work on it excluding special games for kinect/move or something similar. I think that would be really great. Even game devs wouldn't have to spend money and time to make the game on both platforms, they can spend that time to make the game itself better.
I personally really liked POP08, it was really easy, but also really fun to play. I'd like if they continued that story. But if that screen has something to do with POP, I doubt it's about '08 version because it's not cell shaded. It doesn't really look like the Sands of Time version either, so I bet another reboot. I wouldn't really mind if they make it good, like Warrior Within good, I think that was the best POP.
@Keithyboy25 No, it was made by Squaresoft, that was before Square and Enix became one. Enix made awesome Star Ocean series, Square made awesome Secret of Mana, FF and Chrono series, but together they haven't made anything as awesome or even nearly as awesome
"Twitch so you can watch Starcraft or League of Legends" Umm, okay. If I want to watch those games, I play them myself. Why would I buy a game console so that I can watch other people play games?
@soulhunter91 @Adenosine That standing around is just unnecessary padding and hell of a lot of fillers. You should watch DBZ Kai, it's the same as DBZ but without the unnecessary padding, and it's only about 100 episodes long covering the manga all the way, unlike the original DBZ which is about 300 episodes long filled with filler and padding.
