@BlackBaldwin @Spacerac @sLAUGHTERhouse0 actually no, it makes me money-conscious. I knew full well there would be a GOTY edition later. Therefore, not among the crowd of people bitching who bought the vanilla edition. Did the same with several other games.

@SwungCookie @Spacerac you also have to have Gold before you can use netflix. I can use netflix on PS3 or on my computer at no extra charge.

@Gatman32 There won't be online check DRM period, what's up to 3rd party devs is if they want to do online passes for used games online multiplayer or not.

@sLAUGHTERhouse0 More good news. Sony is discontinuing 1st party online pass games starting with the PS4.

@sLAUGHTERhouse0 @Spacerac Same, also a huge ND fan. still have the original PS1/2 games plus UC1-2GOTY. I had already rented UC3 but I was waiting for black friday to see if the price on UC3 GOTY would be lower.

@sLAUGHTERhouse0 @Spacerac It's downloading now. But here's a tip, it's a HUGE 40GB download so you may want to cancel the stuff you won't use, such as the French and Spanish language packs which are over 700MB each. Downloading the multiplayer is required for the singleplayer to work. If you don't have a 3D tv or don't care about 3D, delete the 3D movies pack too as it's about 12GB. As I don't have a 3D tv and already played Uncharted 3 in 3D on my mother's television when I rented it when it came out, I don't need the 3D right now.

So that people get this.

The reason we PlayStation gamers are not mad at being charged to play online is the free games that we get by being a member of PS Plus, not to mention that being a member gives us perks and deep discounts on games-for example, we can currently buy PlayStation All-Stars for only $14. That game came out less than a year ago so it's pretty huge.
