@TrueGB @ItsEvolution Not even close. It's more like wanting to play a PS3 game on a PS4, but instead of the console itself having the parts required to run it, the parts are elsewhere doing the work and using the console as the conduit. I don't support OnLive as I don't like the idea of paying for the right to stream the game, but if PS4 allows for free streaming of a PS3 game as long as the disc is in the console I'm ok with it. With Onlive, if my internet is out I can't play anything. Plus I don't "own" the game but just the "right" to play it. With this hypothetical scenario, if my internet is out I can just transfer my savedata and get my PS3 out to play the disc. And this is coming from a guy that refused to by the newer slims and stubbornly got a used 60GB PS3 system, then paid to have Sony take it when it YLOD'd, take the 500GB drive I installed in it out, and stick it inside a 60GB PS3 system that had barely been used if at all and runs like a dream, PS1, 2, and 3 games and all. IF the PS4 had ZERO PS3 backwards compatibility I'd refuse to buy it, but first I'm going to find out exactly how this will work and THEN I'll make my judgement. If I can stream a PS3 game I already own for free as long as the disc is in the tray, I'll consider that a fair compromise.
@holhardy that's not true. There were kiosks in Japan that took your UMD and gave you the digital version of the game on your PSPgo in return. As for b/c on PSVita, if America didn't bitch so much about the UMD Passport program we would've at least gotten a deep discount for our UMD PSP games on Vita and now we get nothing.
@deth420 @Xvault77 @DevilD2005 @Doobsac the rest of us with -actual- common sense will be playing on PC and the great exclusives consoles have to offer.
@DiscGuru101 @Komania that was because at that time they were really cocky following the success of PS2. They seem to have largely changed their tune since then.
@TheSorrow66666 @etramleinad12 but who's fault is it that you already own the games on PSplus? Some of you gamers really need to realize the world does not revolve around you. Not everybody has the games already on PSplus, and if a sale happens and you already bought the games then suck it up and realize it was your decision to buy the games when you did.
@espviper301 I agree with stalepie. I'm sure it'll be more along the lines of Onlive, where you pay for the right to stream a game normally-but if you already own the game, you can stick the game disc in and stream it for free but the catch will be that the disc has to remain in the system.
@oOhedzOo I think the 360 controller is more comfortable but PS3 still has the better games. Also in my opinion the DualShock 2 is the best controller.
