@KBABZ: oh yeah, forgot about that one. That was some bullshit too. That same reviewer gave the same score to Infamous 2 (should've been at least an 8). And the time they docked Rayman Origins for requiring a certain amount of electoons frees to unlock levels and for having no online-for what it was that game should've been a 9 or 10. They complained that it didn't have something it wasn't supposed to and that it forces you to be good at it to unlock things, which is why in Legends, as great as that game is, you can open and beat the last world if you play only the first few levels properly. Seems to me GameSpot just hates on platformers that aren't Mario. (Nothing against the plumber, I'm a big fan and looking forward to Odyssey)

This is almost as bad as the time GameSpot gave Sonic Unleashed a worse score than Sonic 2006. Cool if they didn't like the game, but that really showed a lack of professionalism.

@icytroid1993: Rayman 1 is really freaking difficult and unfair at times though. If they were to remaster that one it would need to adopt the Origins/Legends system of infinite lives.

@hiphops_savior: it's not the same problem. Yooka-Laylee was a brand new game. This is not.

@risingdawn: linear doesn't automatically mean bad. Linear and free roaming just come with different objectives and challenges. If all games were open or all games were linear, there would be no variety.

@jinzo9988: you can see what's in front of you, it's up to you to react fast enough. In other words, to b gud.

@superdwfan: so youve played it yourself and determined it to be mediocre, or are you just hating on it for being nothing more than what it promised?

@superdwfan: shows you don't know what you're talking about as they had nothing to do with this remaster.

@superdwfan: nobody asked for those

*with exception to Crash Twinsanity. A lot of a younger set of gamers seem really nostalgic for Crash Twinsanity.

@xgalacticax: dumb assumption. I played Crash, Mario and Sonic back then and still enjoy them all today.
