I've gotten to the point where I don't watch it anymore. I'll wait for the TL:DW version of the showcases via articles on here or elsewhere.

In terms of consoles I believe the last console I was gifted (well, my siblings and I) was the Wii. I think my mom helped me with buying a PS3. In terms of games, I mostly started taking care of that myself by the time I was in high school. I'd sometimes ask for games for Christmas but then felt kind of bad that they probably paid full price for them. So, sure, they supported my hobby growing up.

I still find it kinda funny that the Dead Island trailer got people excited for/interested in the game when it was just an emotional cinematic trailer that ultimately wasn't even close to the game's actual tone.

I guess I did enjoy the game well enough but its general consensus is mediocre overall.

Old topic that was bumped but the price is $27.99 as of this post. Leads me to believe that PS+ memberships (and other games/memberships for that matter) are always cheap here. Seems like a legit place to buy these things but one might want to look into it more. Otherwise, you can pretty much always find PS+ Memberships on eBay for ~$30.

No and I can't really imagine anything worse than existing forever

So many great ones that it would take me too long to put together a proper list, but some that come to mind are Skyrim, BioShock Infinite, Fallout 3/New Vegas, and Persona 3-5.

I mean, it makes sense and many ratings systems in other countries do stuff like that already. I wonder if the ESRB hasn't gone this route because of it possibly hindering sales... I mean, I don't even know if that would affect them but I can see a "17+" box on the cover grabbing attention more easily than the current "M" that might make some parents actually realize what they're buying.

This topic is almost 9 years old and yet it, and most of the comments, sound like it could have been created today.

I relate to this so much except with keyboard & mouse. After using a controller/handheld to play games my whole life, trying to use kb/m just feels so foreign and awkward to me. I just can't get the hang of it at all. So with what little PC gaming I do I always gotta end up using a controller. But yeah, the only thing I think either of us can do is just keep playing until things start to click. I know my first time playing a FPS (which was with a controller) was pretty rough, but by end of the first game I played I had it down pretty well.

Drank some once in high school but didn't really get drunk. Went to Vegas on my 21st, had some drinks here and there on my first night but was too tired by the end of the night to drink enough to get drunk. The next night is when I first truly felt drunk. I remember sitting at some bar in Planet Hollywood when it hit me, pretty sure the last thing I'd drank was a vodka Sprite. I was spinning around in a chair rambling on about how awesome it was. The rest of the night is kind of a blur, I think we just hit up some convenience stores along the Strip for cheaper booze and eventually made it back to the hotel. That may have also been the night a fight happened right by me and the dudes ended up on Las Vegas Blvd. Hell of a place.
