I just played the demo version and it doesn't seem like it should be rated M?

does the actual game have far more explicit material like blood, guts, heads popping off with explicit gore. Language like S-bombs and F-bombs??? Nudity and sex????

What the game really reminded of is those Submachine games. Like I said earlier I played this game back in 2004 and 2005 and at the time it only had like 30 some levels with an ending message of "more coming soon". One level had a brown carriage (sort of the one that used to be on the Herr's BBQ chips bag) that had a rock underneath one of the wheels. Another level had a machine where yellow, blue, green, shapes went in. I think there was also an elevator on this level, if not a different level.

I played it a long time ago. It's sort of like Dream Chronicles where you go from place to place solving small puzzles in each given area. I played it back in 2004 and 2005 but it wasn't complete yet. I think it only had 37 levels and it said more would be coming soon.

A few things I remember was that one level had like a carriage in the way. In order to move it, you had to remove a rock that was in front of one of the wheels. Another level had like green, red, blue, yellow shapes you needed to place in a machine. Another level had an elevator with 2-3 floors. Each floor had a small machine or mechinism that you needed to solve, but various parts to them were scattered all over the building. I think too at first, the elevator only went to two floors, you needed to find a part to get the elevator fully working.

Thanks everyone. My only main concern was the region encoding because I can't wait for cool games like Tunguska, Puritas Cordis, Undercover, Sinking Island to come out in the USA so I buy them from the UK. But that's interesting that only future encoded games won't work.

What color should I get? Black looks more cooler but someone said the scratches show up more.

Someone said it's region encoded, is this true?

How good is the Internet? Does YouTube work?

Someone claims you can download games, are they any good games or just stuff like tictactoe?

How good is the camera on it?

Some says it plays MP3, can you upload music to it?

How much space do you get (like hard drive space)?

I don't play games as much as I used to, but have a GameStop gift card.

Anyway, I'm debating over two games. Inkheart and Broken Sword (Director's Cut)

The graphics from the screenshots I've seen of Inkheart look really good and sharp. But others have said the graphics are bad and so is the game. GameStop employees always say, "Movie games aren't that good." Which usually is true, but IMO games like Home Alone 2 (SEGA), Harry Potter 1-3 (PC), Eragon (DS) were pretty good. Basically I'm anticipating a sort of RPG type game from Inkheart (like Tuguska Secret Files, Undercover: Dual Motives, Trace Memory, Lost in Blue) or maybe Eragon.

For Broken Sword, I already have the GBA version but DS ratings are pretty high. Also it says Director's cut, which I don't know what that means. Is there more scenes and puzzle play involved (that was deleted from the GBA version)? Are the graphics the same/better/worse? Is the gameplay ok? Most of all, is there still the few bugs (like the plaster bug) from the GBA version or did they fix those bugs? Is it worth the buy even if you have the GBA version?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks. I basically got the same.

Battery life - yes, 3-4 hours for games and movies; that really sucks. iPod touch is better; 15-20 hours for video.

Movies - They really do play great; but they cost more than DVD. Might be better with iPod touch still although; uploading movies is something that would be next to impossible (oh yeah, its not IMPOSSIBLE; just really difficult)

Games - Can do certain ones; I mean you download them so that's something. iPod touch really can't, but yet again you can do certain games. Just of course no blue ribbon ones like Runescape. None that require flash for both. Then of course PSP has its own games.

YouTube - Rumor has it; that it can be done for the PSP*. But I wonder if its healthy for the PSP. At least some youtube can be done for the iPod. (the SB Tide commercial works; video walkthru of game Sinking Island or one of them kept saying loading)

Internet - It is rather slow on PSP; but not like the DS from what I heard. Kind of like a cell phone. For the iPod there's no problem.

Cost - FYE members unfortunately don't get discouns on systems. So the MADDEN 2009 bundle is $200; and not $180. An 8GBruns for about $235.

*If anyone is interested into how youtube can be done on PSP; I'll post back with the link.

What about movies? I see they have actual movies (like Transporter 1 & 2) for PSP. How well do they work, or would a portable DVD player do better?

If you want a set that comes with a big memory stick, a game, a movie and a few extras, I think that's $200

Wow, just for an extra $70 for all that, cool. I'll have to ask about memory sticks tomorrow (If any memory stick works, then perhaps I could use my 4GB I use for my laptop).

Also, one question I forgot, how long is battery life?

Thanks, though. Your response really helped.
