[QUOTE="luamhtrad"]

However, the NRA will fight any legislation that is viewed as infringing on gun owner's rights, no matter how trivial.

Palantas

Why? I understand there are groups that will fight for any legislation that limits gun owners' rights, so what, is this some sort of cosmic balancing act? In retrospect, it occurs to me that I'd probably have had more luck getting this question answered by just writing the NRA an E-mail than asking the forum.

I think it's just that, a balancing act. In order to keep things moderate, if one side is extreme in their beliefs, the other has to be as well or risk letting things slide in the other direction.

I'm very pro-gun, and don't think this infringes on gun owner rights really. I also don't imagine it helping any at all, since most gun runners are into actual assault rifles not bushmaster semi's

I have mild-moderate depression and obsessive compulsive disorder. Problem is I'm also a career pilot, and taking any kind of anti-depressant is enough to get your medical revoked. I found an over the counter supplement called St. Johns Wort that helps my depression A LOT, and has practically no side-effects. I would really suggest looking into it. Even the possible side effects are mild (stuff like light sensitivity). I know that pre-piloting days the list of side effects scared me away from Prozac, Paxil etc...

Atheism itself does not offend me. Richard Dawkins-esque attack dog atheists offend me.

Is it eye rapingly-bad? I take it from your nos that your eye sockets were penetrated by the fail.

Makes South Park look like a Picasso

I'd make an argument that South park is actually art, in it's own pop-culture butt cheese kindof way

Two words. Demon Hunter

Not a big metal fan but I'm very supportive of artists playing for God in whatever genre or way they see fit!
