If we're talking globally X1 will do well the first few months of 2014. Why? Because then finally the other half of the world will get that crappy box in retail. Do remember that A LOT of countries won't get X1 this year. So yes, X1 will unfortunately be selling alot next year aswell. Personally I dont care, I loved Xbox360(have ps3 aswell) But this time around I'm getting PS4 and "probably" X1 once its price drops considerably
My first and only thought when I read: "Bungie: Destiny will have "very long" life cycle" was: "dang, another Bungie product that refuses to go away(Halo - overrated game that never seems to go away)
They make it sound like it's so cool that they had sold out the entire stock of X1. Well how many units did the stock consist of? For example, say there's 1.000 units(I know there's way more just bear with me) and 1.000 pre-orders. "Yes let's brag that our entire stock has been pre-ordered". Now if it was 10million units for example, THAT would've been something to brag about.
Bottom line is, Microsoft tries to make it sound like there is a HUGE demand on their new console. When fact is that they dont have that many units to ship to begin with! (basing this on the fact that they are shipping to relativily FEW countries - meaning that its most likely not many units(compared to PS4 for example ))
And Wargaming having high opinions about themselves as usual - *Their* game will lead and invasion of F2P games on Xbox. Seriously, their flagship, World of Tanks, aint even that good. Lots of flaws. And then you have (which we cannot blame Wargaming for tho) the BIG amount of kids playing the game. If you have played the game for a while on PC you know what I'm talking about.
How often do you not end up in a match, where you are 2 levels lower than the enemy, with a STOCK tank, and your team has no skill whatsoever in awareness, teamplay, tactical understanding. And the friggin lemmingtrain, everyone going to the same spot like a "simon says"-game. I personally just took a break from the game, probably gonna be away from the game for a few months at least. There's just too many bad things about the game.
Heck, if you're at the bottom of your team, facing enem that's 2 tiers higher than you, you are probably gonna have to use premium ammuntion. And guess what? Those costs REAL LIFE MONEY. Free to play my a$$.
Stay away from this game guys. Unless you want to lose what hair you have left, and faith in the humankind. You have been warned, this game is scary to play most of the times. Watching how incredible clueless people are. And no it's not like you meet 1-2 kids per day. No, you meet 10-15 of them every 15-30minutes. But it's up to you. You will most likely end up spending real life money at some point in this game if you want the best stuff. And you're gonna be surrounded by mostly people that makes you wonder if they have 0 IQ. And if you're one of those people that HATE when people talk other than english in the chat - you're gonna hate this game. Mostly polish chatter.. And the crappy matchmaking, and other flaws. Up to you, but I do recommend to stay away from this game.
@kipsta77 OMG, Bioshock was IMO the most overrated game in a long time. The story was NOT even decent. Combat was awful. Graphics was really nice though. TLoU on the other hand, great captivating story and characters. Intense combat at some points and just basically much more interesting and fun combat. Overall, Bioshock isn't even in the same league as TLoU. But hey, you shouldn't really compare those two games to begin with, not remotely the same kind of game.
