The only weird thing about this review was when the reviewer went into analysis of the plot and his interpretation. I felt that should have been left out because it has nothing to do with the game's product review; it's just a side thought and an interpretation of a small plot. This would be the equivalent of me taking up a good portion of a SMB3 review to point out that it takes place on a stage and that mario is just an actor in a play. That narrative analysis doesn't have too much of a role in the product review although those types of analysis should be studied and brought to light in other areas.
@JOTLD Why does B2/W2 deserve a 7? Does something described as the stalest iteration of a series really deserve a 7? Personally, I'd give B/W a 7.0 at the highest.

@JOTLD @Minishdriveby Unfortunately you're making up stories again. "pokemon went from a 8.8 now all the way down to a 6.5" That's not the truth. P/D = 8.5, Pt = 8.0, HG/SS = 8.0, B/W = 7.5, B/W2 = 6.5. Pokemon has been in the decline for years now. It's been around for longer, so it didn't go straight from a 8.8 to a 6.5. Call of Duty is a relatively younger franchise and it's starting to go into decline now.
I could say GameSpot overrated a couple of 3DS recently. I disagree completely with the scores of Kid Icarus (6.5 imo), Paper Mario (6.0 imo), and Mario Kart 7 (7.0 imo). But I'm not going to call them out and say they're wrong.
If you want every review to tell you a game is a perfect shining star then go read IGN's Audrey Drake's review. If you agree with the 9.0 and 9.6 she gave 5th generation pokemon games, despite you saying they were the stalest in the franchise then you have really low standards. Just go read her reviews. She gave Animal Crossing a 9.6 which is what you want, and apparently you won't accept anything less, especially if you're quarreling over an 8.0.
@JOTLD @Minishdriveby You said it yourself Pokemon B/W were the stalest in the series thus far. Are you sure GameSpot is underrating things? Maybe other websites are inflating scores...
Also stop making things up. Modern Warfare = 9.0, World at War = 8.5, Modern Warfare 2 = 9.0, Black Ops = 9.0, MW4 = 8.5, Black Ops 2 = 8.0
There sure has been a major rise in score for every call of duty game. The series seems to be on a decline in scores for the past two years.
@Kevin-V @Minishdriveby Fair enough Mr. V; however, you should definitely go back and finish it ;) Use Iron flesh and Havel's Armor if need be.
Also I definitely agree with you guys. Kevin underrated it, and it's my favorite game of all time. Definitely deserved a 10. The Framerate issues in Blighttown and New Londo Ruins was an extremely small issue for me.
