@Sudieken No Xenoblade? Galaxy 1 and 2? Metroid Prime Corruption? Muramasa? Brawl? DKCR? Monster Hunter? Sin and Punishment? I could go on, but gee, your Wii sure had a sucky life. lol

The 3DS has some pretty good games already released and announced too. But since I don't know your preferences in gaming then I can't say which could interest you.

@GSJones1994 @shinta125 @beuneus12 Now, if only they could get that kind of 3rd party support for their home consoles, all would be right in this world...

Alas, I'll keep hoping for the WiiU to at least get all the multiplats from now on. Though losing GTA V is not a good signal :|

@JustPlainLucas @Superzone Well, that goes both ways. Being a Zelda title implies it has a lot of expectations and hype to live up to, things which can ruin an experience. I could also argue that, if the game was a new Ip instead of a game from the Zelda franchise, a lot of the people dissing it now could have actually enjoyed it because of different expectations and just playing the game with a different mindset. So, this "oh, fans only love it because its part of the franchise" could go either way, which nullifies the point. We don't know if either statement would be true because its only an hypothesis, so we just have to take it for what it is and accept that some thought SS was a genuinely great addition to the series, while others will disagree. No point trying to invalidate one point of view.

@megatronx2 Not necessarily. He meant about how you could tackle dungeons in no specific order, like the first Zelda game, he said nothing about controls.

Its almost like Aonuma is reading some of the feedback in the internet asking for a more non-linear, explorative Zelda.

@warhawk-geeby @Stonecutters908 But if you don't like Nintendo games, then why would you expect them to please you? Just stick to which company's exclusives you prefer. If you're an uncharted and gow kind of guy, stick with sony consoles. Halo, Gears? There is microsoft for you. Nintendo offers us franchises WE care about, so we stick to that. I rarely see nintendo fans bothering sony and microsoft fans whenever a new Halo or GoW is announced, but the opposite is always true. Why is that?

Besides, they do announce new IPs, but some people don't pay attention to that and reuse the same old and tired argument.You seem like a reasonable person, but unfortunately I can't say the same about some other complainers.

@abHS4L88 @zzamaro Atlus does a pretty spectacular job with their rereleases too. Just look at Persona 4 golden or P3 FES/P3P, so much new content that it actually makes it worth getting.

That being said, sometimes nintendo does get lazy. The Super Mario All Stars rerelease for the wii was very disappointing, unfortunately. That doesn't seem to be the case with this, though, so I'm pretty excited. Besides, I never played WW(never had a game cube, my Wii is the shitty no-backwards-compatibility version), so it will be completely new for me.

People should drop the rehash and "no new IPs lolnintendo" bullshit. Mario 64 hardly plays like Sunshine, and Sunshine is is not at all similar to the Galaxy games. Oh, yes, you jump in all of them! Might as well call every 3D platformer a rehash also, or every platformer ever for that matter.

There are only 4 3D Mario titles (5 if you count 3D land) and all of them take a lot of time to release, and yet some people act like its the 50th consecutive release in the same year. Spin-offs are just that, spin-offs, completely different from the main franchise. The NSMB series is a little more prominent than 3d titles, but even then it's not exagerated like some would like you to believe. (so far there is 1 for each console [ds, wii, and now 3ds and wiiu], that's hardly overkill compared to most other franchises)

They use a similar face to make different games, there is nothing wrong with that. Franchises reinvent itself. It's much better than release a new IP that is exactly like everything else on the market.

And talking about new IPs, Monolith Soft says hi. But of course you wouldn't know that or most other announcements made today, because lolgamespot.

@capnahdharr Remakes aren't eligible, that's why Persona 4 wasn't nominated.

@armodillo17 Chrono Trigger DS isn't really a remake though, it's just an enhanced port of the original version. When most people mention a remake they usually mean something akin to the treatment FF III and IV received. (well, not exactly in that same style, but you get the idea) Cross is a good sequel, but it's been 12 years since that. That's more than enough time to develop at least one more Chrono game.

@Iranazi Not a teaser per se, but there WAS a trademark for "Chrono Breaker" in the PS2 era, and some staff members have already stated they would like to work in a new entry in the series. One of the endings of the game also state this possibility. Alas, it never happened.
