@DarkImpact2021 This is Kojima Productions we're talking about here. Today we found out that two games are actually one, so I'm sure that it's coming to next gen consoles. I can already see a silly video wherein that burned dude uses that "de-foxing" gun on the PS3 and Xbox 360 logos to change them to "Xbox 720/Next/whatever" and PS4.

@torbonator @visionedorange @LeviHarris Just read online that David Hayter is supposedly not involved, so you could be right. Regardless, it all comes down to gameplay. And Hayter was great, but as an actor myself, his range is a little...shall we say, one sided. (and here comes the bashing)

I see a lot of people commenting on the new voice actor, but it could just be an intentional choice to make Snake's (Big Boss's) voice weaker after, you know, being a goddamn coma for nine years.

@FlameEmperor I hope so. Peace Walker was more of an evolution for the series than any of the so-called "main" games. Either way, after watching the demonstration today, I'm finally excited about MGS again.

@sgt_F79 @LeviHarris Do you think current consoles can do water rendering with the clarity you see at the 25 second mark, the 44 second mark, along with the quality of the textures and lighting of Edward at the 47 second mark. The Anvil Next engine was designed to be scalable to next gen consoles. So yes, I am serious. The first wave of next gen games are going to be basically indistinguishable from the current gen consoles, and a game that's designed for current gen and next gen consoles is especially going to be victim to this. If you're expecting them to create a completely new engine just for next gen, you're wrong. My guess is there's footage from all consoles in there, but those beauty shots are next gen. And yes, maybe PC.

The one thing I'll say in Ubisoft's defense is that at least the storylines in Assassin's Creed games are a hell of a lot more compelling than the CoD storylines. "Terrorists, right...get a nuclear device....and the whole time you're chasing this one guy, right? It turns out your partner was the bad guy. You like, mash the X button and there's like, this knife, just zing! right there in your goddamn face!...Oh, and lots of explosions and creepy eye tracking."

Maybe it's the history nerd in me, or the fact that I'm still not tired of stealthing two dudes at the same time (not a sex term) and blending in with a crowd before tearing down an alley to climb to the top of a building and survey the night like a superhero. I guess I'm saying I kind of have a crush on the series, could you pass it a note for me?

I highly doubt this will have any effect on the single player game, but these guys are a real gaming studio for real gamers. They're not going to flip off their fan base by jeopardizing their already stellar bread-and-butter-winning series. Depending on how the single player mechanics like controls, crafting and potion-making translate over to multiplayer, it could be interesting. If they take a hint from Mass Effect 3, they could be on to something. Say what you will, that multiplayer was addicting as hell. In this gamer's opinion, anyway.

As an early adopter of the first Playstation and the excellent Playstation 2, Sony lost me with the PS3 -- the multiplatform games always got jilted on the PS3 and the first wave of games was good, but nothing great to deem it a first day buy. While I still owned one, it wasn't really my main gaming machine. With this new reveal, however, I feel that Sony is making a strong statement that they want to get back to the pole position by listening to developers and gamers by supplying PC-like architecture for easy development and some analog sticks that don't slip our of your thumbs in the middle of a firefight. I'm still waiting to see some actual games played by gamers and what E3 has in store, but this could be an interesting generation of console wars.

Maybe it's a good PS Vita Assassin's Creed?
