i will buy this like the rest love a new assassins creed to explore yes the combat hasnt changed much over the years but it always remains fun. would like to see a few more weapons. AC 3 had a few but the daggers had the same animations as the tomahawk which was sloppy and ive noticed Edward doesnt have gun holsters on his back lol just hope they dont reuse old animations and put more attention to detail. a killcam for air assassinations would be good a record feature to watch back on yourself being a bad ass with some edit controls. now the hoods been a AC trademark from the go but come on how cool did Connor look in the two captain outfits from AC3 id like to see Edward don some bad ass pirate hats with an eagle on his shoulder and a monkey as a best friend haha :D cant wait to see what type of person Edward is
This "gameplay" looks like shit, and I'm sure the story is trash. I can't believe they ruined one of the best franchises of all time.
What's with his assassin outfit? Shouldn't it be more pirate themed. Hope there's a few to find or buy in game. Thought the naval missions were great in 3.
This could be awesome, or just plain shite... what will you do Ubisoft? hope combat system gets less repetitive
i loved the ship parts on assassins creed 3 so good news for me. sorry people that did not not like them. i can see it now...... on the open sea. sailing to port with 120fps and as soon as a dock a magic 118 fps drop to 2fps arrr thanks ea for giving the dev teams no time to optimize.
Yaa ha ha. If it be another bug ridden mess then those scurvy land lubbers at Ubisoft will be getting 50 licks o'the cat. Yaa ha ha!!!!
They made the two games at the same time but hero is different to they called it AC4 . otherwise its the same idea as AC2 + Brotherhood +Revelations .
still think they should have chosen a Japanese theme.
Samurai...Ninja Clans... HONOR.
I think the naval battles in AC3 were fun, but to base a whole game on it..... This looks indeed like an expansion of AC3 I bet thats why its released so soon. Probably a lot of this stuff was supposed to be in 3. Easy money huh..?
What about the fact that Edward doesn´t have holsters to put his back pistols? Is it just me or this is stupid? I mean, the holsters appear in the first trailer but not in gameplay...Strange...Even Connor had holsters. I´m starting to feel a decline and not an upgrade on my initial thoughts about the game. Let´s wait, there´s still time to correct that...
I am with all other people here on comments. First off I think that it is too soon for a AC game sequel info to come out. It seems as if they already had most of this programmed, divided AC3 into 2 parts and will release the 2nd part as different game.
Even if it isn't true it does seem that ubi has realized that the game is selling so just make random games to milk money. I hope I am wrong and this game is indeed different and carries story to a new level with good evolution rather than just repeat stuff from prior game.
I am not excited but will keep an eye on this title and see how it goes.
hm alot of people is complaining that Assassin's creed is not a assassin stealth game which I understand beacuse that how the 1st one was. if people is paying attention on where this is heading Ubisoft in my (IMO) is looking for a loud approach and of cousre something new and fresh. I guess (others) that find stealth and sneaking around and having to wait can be boring. When I play these games I just run and kill the guy I don't got time to be sitting around and waiting for that perfect moment but if it necessary yeah but in AC1 and AC2 it made you be stealthy
As others have said, it seems like it's just an expansion of AC3. Either way, the ship battles were actually my favorite part of AC3. I've never even really been big on this series and had not planned to play the next one. (I got AC3 free with a hardware upgrade.) I might play this game though just because I really did enjoy sailing the ship around and blasting boats out of the water. We'll see, it depends on what other games I'm playing at the time.
I haven't even got to play Assassins Creed 3 =/ The more of these games that are released, the less interested I am.
it really bothers me that this has become something like a fifa game, the idea is getting out these games one after the other as fast as possible with minor tweaks here and there based on what worked in the previous game, change the time in history, create any dumb base story and try to sell sell sell... it's sad the course this game has taken because it was a good game.
Don't forget the quality assurance this time Ubisoft, AC3 (still) is an almost unplayable immersion breaking bugfest.
Does anyone else find it hilarious when the narrator stars romanticising about how wonderful the pirates life was, while Kenway just brutally murders people?
@kente10 ur eyes see shit remember don't see no shit do find no shit bastard u should be ashamed to call yourself an assassins creed fan
@kente10 you cant say its shit because of one f***ing video or they ruined one of the best franchises of all time.... come one!!
@EG-Mist Not EA the dev is Ubisoft. Jeez
@malakadil good comment, what is nezt what they are going to think of? it would be really cool if you can really upgrade your ship like they say.
@brainiac1988 I agree they need a ninja version of AC, with REAL stealth, there hasn't been a proper ninja game in a long while, it's perfect: beautiful japan, roof jumping assassins clans, head chopping, sword play, ninja stars, stealth kills, what more can you want?
Even with their increasingly lame story line it would still be awesome
@brainiac1988 Not likely, ubisoft said that every numbered title will be completely different in almost every way from it's predecessor. AC3 Was very different form precious AC games and so will this. BTW every new AC game is made by a different team, meaning that the sequel to AC4 and the sequel to even that are in develpment or some even developed.
Lol, i see you have that heavy eye for detailing, i think it'll be added in the final though!
@JusXiceStealth is the main element of the AC franchise. In the description of each title ubisoft calls it and open-world stealth game. Now its mostly open world even though they are officialy still claiming that it has stealth. AC3 had no stealth whatsoever
@Two_Smoke91 It seems like all the games that are designed to be pirate games fall short and are mediocre at best. It's funny that a game like this actually does a good job with it.
@CoUGHB Be interested. AC3 blows away Brotherhood and Revelations, those games were like weak expansions to AC2. AC3 is a WHOLE NEW JAM. As for Black flag, I said after playing AC3, "They could make a whole game based on the ship combat engine" And they did, and it looks phenomenal.
@Igal-Ze AC should definitely stay away from zombies
@StockpileThomas There was never supposed to be any.
There was in the first game.... haven't seen it since.
