It's been said before, but just to reiterate, this game is FUN! It's simple and straightforward, but the borderlands/Rage graphics combined with great sound and at least a somewhat interesting narrative makes this well worth the $15 buy-in. Earning more XP through headshots and combo-killing definitely incentivizes you to take your time, line up the shot, and cash in on the extra xp and gruesome animation.

Only one question: Why on earth isn't this game move-compatible?! This game BEGS to be played with the sharpshooter. If they don't patch in move-compatibility then they'll have really passed up their chance to make this game extra extra extra awesome. I get that the PS crowd who owns move is a small market, and making a game move compatible costs extra $$, but that doesn't change the fact that this game would be absolutely perfect for move. 

Here's a PS3 review in a nutshell: It runs perfectly. Seriously, no framerate issues, graphics are fantastic, gameplay is smooth and satisfying. You shouldn't feel the slightest hesitation to get it for PS3.

Honestly, the closest game to Timesplitters right now would be Perfect Dark Zero. I really don't think it's the "awful" game that a lot of people view it as being. The graphics are good, the gameplay is solid, and the multiplayer is a lot of fun. Definitely worth looking at.

My bad then, a friend of mine got the collector's edition and the game disc was completely fine but the extra content disc was totally scratched up.

If your dad is buying it for you and he doesn't care, then there is no reason not to get an Elite. If he gets wierd about the extra $100 for the elite, then the pro/premium system, which I have, will be perfect for your needs. However, it is a good point that if you can't get the elite, then try for the Halo 3 version of the premium because they have been made much more recently.

Rainbow Six Vegas is NOT overrated. Not being a fan of the tactical shooter genre does not make Vegas any less of an AMAZING game.
