Will Gears of War 2 be longer then 1?

Will Gears of War 2 be longer then 1? If it is a disc space issue what is the big deal of putting it on more than one DVD.. why dont they do that as much anymore

I would think so.. it's gotta at least go into the story a little bit this time and actually tell why we are fighting the Locust in the first place and vice versa.

I could see it being just as long as the first. Reason being Gears had great pace. You rarely weren't in battle and if you weren't it wasn't for very long. Also, the sections were well done in diversity. Regular Locust in the start, Wretches, Seeders, a combination of the three, Beserker, Boomers, Drones again but hordes of them, Kryll, more Boomers, Lambient Wretches, Theron Guards and Setinels, Corpsers etc. etc. A very good pace of switching off enemies.

What I would like to see though, is a fight with a Brumak like in Gears of War PC and some kind of new enemy in addition to it. And fighting multiple Corpsers at once would be nice since one of those is too easy.

If they fit Oblivion on one disc then I don't want anything more than that!

I remember FF7 on a couple of CDs before i pawned them all for scrap plastic :D

Gears 2 can be much longer on 1 disc, but Epic will have time constraints if they are going to release it in 2009.

BLAME the developers if it is short, not the DVD9 size.

They won't do it, Epic would never rush a game even if it was hyped as much as gears (eg. UT3)

Although they probibly will hire more people after the GOTY success of Gears Of War and get a few more programmers and artists to build a sequel on the already finished version.

And I highly doubt they will have problems with the space. Look how long Oblivion was and how much there was to do in that game but thats all on 1 disc.
