If the game delivers the way it looks like it will, 9.5 for sure. A 10 is incredibly unlikely simply because therewon't beanything really new or innovating about Halo 3, it will (I hope) be a very well-done, superb looking, smooth controlling FPS like its predecessors.

Mostly looking for advice and ideas here. Obviously there's nothing you can do to prevent the three red lights, but lets list some ways to prevent overheating, damage, and the like. I've got mine sitting on a metal mesh rack that has it raised a foot off the carpet. This provides great ventillation to prevent overheating. The power block is sitting next to the console (but not touching) on the rack as well. Raising the console and power block off the ground also help prevent anyone stepping on it or something like that. I have a small fan (not connected to the console, sitting about two feet away) blowing on the back of the xbox. Is that fan a good idea or will it end up blowing tons of dust into the console?

Halo has a few distinguishing features:

Incredibly fluid and smooth gameplay and controls- not unheard of but it's really important.

Good story- Especially Halo 1 and we'll see about Halo 3. Halo 2 is ok. Honestly, what FPS fan doesn't love saving mankind by slaughtering concourses of aliens?

Multiplayer- Awesome! Customizeable enough to make it your own. Co-op is tons of fun.

At this instant: Call of Duty 2.

However, I'm regularly switching between Rainbow Six: Vegas, Gears of War, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, and Call of Duty 2.

Definitely Call of Duty 3. Rainbow six 3 and RS3:Black Arrow also have a bunch of people online.Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike still has some players too.

I wonder if Black Hawk Down still has anyone online?

Hold B to select which gun or just tap B to cycle through the guns. Great game, just beat it.

Well, if you insist on comparing doom 2 and halo 2 then there is no comparison. Halo 2 is a much better game. However, Doom 3 and Halo 2 is a decent comparison. I feel that Doom 3's campaign FAR outdoes Halo 2, but Halo 2's multiplayer FAR outdoes Doom 3's, so I consider them pretty much equal games. If I could only have one it'd be Halo 2 though.

I'm talking offline replay value. Multiplayer is not an option. I'd want Sid Meier's Pirates, I got it recently and am more addicted to it than any other game I've ever play, for any system. And it's all offline.
