Pro tip: Don't start making your AAAs exclusive to UPlay. How many of EA's Origin exclusives have I purchased? Zero. How many of EA's competitors' games have I purchased on Steam? Just a few hundred, nbd.
Do these guys not know about Steam sales? Sheesh. I already get almost all of my games at a huge discount. In fact, if I ever pay full price it's because I made the conscious decision NOT to wait for a sale.
A used game comes in a box that may be slightly battered with a disc that might be scratched or even defective and may or may not have a manual in questionable condition. A digital copy of a game is always in the same condition you bought it in. So these guys want to resell their mint condition products even cheaper than Steam does? Doesn't seem right to me.
I'm attracted to visual style itself rather than realism. The point for me is the art of it - like a style of drawing or painting - how a game looks gives it character and enhances the immersion. It may or may not be realistic, but if its got style, atmosphere, a distinct feel to it - that's what decides whether I think a game's graphics are great or not.
I want to be glad Journey won, because it's unique, and apparently amazing. But I haven't played it because its PS3 only. Maybe this success will mean a port, so the rest of the freakin' planet can see what all the fuss is about.
@ChunkyDrawers I pay for every game I play. I will not, however, pay for an entire console just to play one game. I love the GTA games, but if they aren't going to release a PC version, it's just one less sale for them.
I totally agree that stupid hard modes are...well stupid. I never play them. Aside from them being irritating, what's the point? I already finished the game.
