I'm intrigued a little, but honestly I've never found myself wishing i could play my PC games in my living room. The only reason I'd get a console is to play console exclusive games. So if steam can bring those games to me via its hardware, then maybe I'd choose that over an xbox. Otherwise I wouldn't have much use for it.

I resub on and off when I'm not so busy with work that I can't put in some decent time. If it were f2p I'd probably play more.

I'm more than happy to pay for quality. If the game sucks, I wouldn't play it even if it was f2p.

I don't see what the big deal is about buying XP boosters. These things are already available in game and do not require all that much work to obtain. Calling this pay to win is a little extreme.

An XP boost benefits brand new players who don't have a server full of characters supplying their alts with heirlooms and guild perks (or established players wanting to start up on a new server). A new player is already at such a disadvantage this hardly unbalances the game.

Besides no one's forcing you to buy anything...relax people.

What I would like is to have the ability to buy all of EAs games on Steam. I don't see why this is such a big deal. Ubisoft does it - you buy their games on Steam, and when you run it, it opens UPlay (which is a terrible service, but that's another issue). With Ubisoft, I still get to have all my games in one place, and they still get me using their service (and buying their games). Win-win.

@MinerAvatar some Canadian ISPs have started offering unlimited bandwidth again, finally. It's freakin expensive though.

I prefer everything in digital. I'm a minimalist when it comes to possessions. Digital is easy, it doesn't take up space, and now that pretty much everything is cloud based there's no danger of losing anything to a hard drive crash. But what I can't stand is knowing that when I buy digital, most of the time it's not up to me what I do with the product afterwards. I can't watch my iTunes movies in anything other than iTunes. I can't play my games without Steam. Right now this doesn't matter, because I'm a fan of both, and the companies are healthy and not likely to go anywhere. But what happens if that changes, if I decide I no longer like the service and want to use something else? What if these companies ceased to exist? Then what happens to my stuff?

@BlackBaldwin I hate to say it, but your grammar is brutal, and your logic is flawed.
