[QUOTE="Piranha155"]actually CS is 14 years old, to be exact Yeah, but it has grown up a bit since the days of no helmets, realistic fall damage and desperate gun-running.I have seen the servers and they are from all around the world. I have played the game myself,it's good, but it's already 10 years old. How come the multiplayer didn't die at that game?

Yeah, Metal Gear Solid was the worst offender for that last one.online passes

when story overtakes gameplay to a point where gameplay becomes monotonous

I liked them both (started with FO3 GOTY).
FO3 GOTY is more memorable IMHO but NV probably has more replay value and story changing options.
You are just going to have to play them both.
Bear in mind that NV is set a couple hundred years after FO3 so it takes place in a marginally more developed society.
Like getting rid of the damn standard static button smashing combat and fetch quests. Also you can play in a persistent without a monthly fee.[QUOTE="TheDarknesses"][QUOTE="soiheardyoulike"]
Do you play wow or any other mmo based on wow? GW2's promise was to fix a lot of the inherent flaws of the mmo genre. Some of these are questing and quest hubs.

What do you mean? You really think Guild Wars 2 won't have kill X, fetch X, or 'put a quarter in the jar' quests?
I really don't hate Guild Wars 2 or anything, just asking.
Yeah, that's the whole reason why people are excited about it. The way quests work is supposed to be far more natural and dynamic. Apparently, the devs are attempting to get rid of the traditional MMO tropes about running around looking for a character with an exclamation mark above their head. Anyway, remains to be seen how successful they will be, but fingers crossed!Yeah, you used to have to be a **** genius to poke those three buttons which made up your attack cycle. Anyway, WoW is a really great game that will take alot of your time and cash, but is worth it for the experience - I quit when I hit lvl 80 in Northrend, but I don't regret the time I spent in game.It depends. You might enjoy it because you're new to it and you have nothing else to really compare it to. However, the game is so dumbed down and so casual-friendly now. I actually feel really bad about what's going on, it used to be such a great game.

Download the Mount & Blade demo from Steam, do the weapon training, play a few quick battles and then come back and let us know your opinion.Western devs can't build decent action combat engines. And I will keep saying this until one of them proves me wrong, so far none have. All the best action-adventure games which had "good" combat have all come from asian developers. Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, Demon Souls/Dark Souls. The best the west have gotten to is God of War (which is hack n slash). When I hear of a RPG from the west concentrating on "Action-gameplay" I facepalm, likelyhoods are the gameplay will not be up there. Doesn't matter how good it looks if there''s no depth.
