@gameroutlawzz No they're saying "Donkey Kong" returns, as in the series itself is back, it's not a typo.

All right, Zorine! Video was going along okay, some decent answers, some weird ones (Counterstrike?), and then you mention the SH 3 mirror. Easily the scariest moment ever for me, accept no substitutes.

That's nice Cage, but your first two games were meant to rely on story and characters and both attempts were a plothole-filled mess. Nobody should need convincing however that this type of video games works because Telltale Games' The Walking Dead already did it last year by telling an actual good story with actual good characters.

@sensesfail99 @Tiwill44 Heavy Rain had voice acting that ranged from tolerable to awful (JASON!!!), plotholes galore, the revelation of the killer contradicts too much, several scenes that are just goofy (that chase sequence through the market. Seriously?), almost all of Madison's scenes are rape-like, and David Cage has apparently no idea how kids behave.

Indigo Prophecy was even worse with flat characters, an overly convoluted storyline that jumped all over the place without any logic and rushed to a mediocre conclusion, radical character shifts that make no sense (Karla just instantly believing Lucas despite having no reason to), lots of pointless scenes that add nothing (Karla and Tyler sparring? Tyler playing basketball? There's no dialogue and we gain nothing from it, just a time-waster), zombie intercourse (like, really, what is wrong with you, David Cage?!), and the fact that David Cage clearly ripped off Grant Morrison's The Invisibles at one part, he didn't even bother to change the name of the organization!

After two such massive strike-outs it's very reasonable for people to be wary of Beyond. Cage it outdated anyway with the existence of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead. Those guys took the QTE-driven gameplay and "choices affecting the narrative" ideas that Cage had and actually combined them with characters to care about and a cohesive narrative that didn't fall apart like Cage's stories do. That's why I'll be looking forward to Telltale Games' Fable game and couldn't care less about David Cage's next project since he's yet to prove he knows how to tell a workable story.

Jak and Daxter was a great trilogy, but ND made the right call here. Don't force out the next installment if it doesn't feel right, the time may come when the right ideas click and then go for it.

@Grenadeh Dude, are you serious? Why let random people who should have no impact on your life control what you do in life? If you do that then they "win" for all intents and purposes. If you honestly want a PS4 (and can afford it) then get it. If you honestly don't want one then don't get it. Everything else is just an excuse.

Good for him. For me, this has been one of the best game years ever. Bioshock Infinite, The Last of Us, GTA V, Wonderful 101, Rayman Legends, etc. And we've still got three months left.....

@Evilgenius4u69 I will certainly look forward to Two Best Friends Let's Play run through it. God, they're on Indigo Prophecy right now and it's actually worse than Heavy Rain. How does David Cage keeping getting work?!!!

Granted, at least Beyond has good voice actors for once in terms of a Quantic Dream game and I've heard David Cage is actually letting other writers work with him on this one. So it may not be as ridiculous a mess as Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain was, but I'm not holding my breath.

@bledsoe45sbc That's unlikely since South Park is pretty consistent in pointing out sexist behavior and double standards. Like the episode where they point how much of a double standard it is to be furious with a male teacher sleeping with a female minor but a female teacher sleeping with a male minor is considered "cool".

I'm more interested in Infamous: Second Son, Knack, and The Order: 1886 than any of Microsoft's real exclusives (if it's coming to PC as well that doesn't count in my book).

Also, enough of the "we listen!" nonsense. Good video game companies consistently listen and never would have made such a stupid move in the first place. You guys messed up big time and by the time any of you said "parley?" there was already a horde of ticked off gamers at your doorstep with torches and pitchforks. Claiming you listen to the fans is like a slacker kid claiming he listens to his teacher when the teacher has to walk up to him and scream to get his attention. You're not impressing anyone with these claims about how you think it went down this year. The E3 history books have already been written, stop trying to sugarcoat edit them.
