@RC-Sev They had no opportunity to charge the console players, as the release versions had all the content on it. As for the latter, maybe they will, maybe they won't. They might've said they'll charge prior to the announcement that Sony/Microsoft are getting rid of the patch charges. + A bit of good will with the PC community (where they started) is nothing to be bothered about.
Ahh, MAG, good memories. Shame nothing new's coming of that. Makes sense though, low player counts, new gen, I see no issue with it. Costs money to keep it up and the console cycle's near its end.
I loved all the characters. It was 'real'. It's clear that he's not a bad guy, he's just doing what he has to as to not end up like his daughter. The first 20 minutes for me were great, I was connected on an emotional level to both Joel and Sarah (If I remember right). The whole game was just Joel being what a man would be; broken and unsure.
Ellie was a fantastic character all round, not much to say. They were both really brought to life by the animations I think. As for the ending; I agree with the poster below in all regards. I'm not sure how to interpret Joel lying to her - obviously he just doesn't want to lose her - but hey. It's been left open for further DLC expansion, too!
That said I personally loved the game, easily one of my favourites.
