I love open world games, but there's also linear games I love. Why is linear deemed such a bad thing these days? Would this game have benefitted from an open world environment? Maybe, but I'm sure the atmosphere/story/something would have suffered for it. Movies are linear, books are linear, and for a game focused on characters and story-telling, games can be too.
That said, I enjoyed the gameplay (played on Hard) and, while with everything there's room for improvement, it's the kind of game I wanted for a while. Missed me some good story telling!
