Free-to-play Spartacus Legends launching next week
New action game from Ubisoft releasing June 25 on PSN and June 26 on Xbox Live.
Free-to-play action game Spartacus Legends, based on the Starz TV show, will launch next week digitally for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Ubisoft has announced.
The game will hit PlayStation Network June 25, followed by Xbox Live on June 26. PSN dates for Europe, Japan, and Asia will be announced shortly, Ubisoft said.
Though the game will be free to play, it will offer various equipment options for purchase.
Spartacus Legends players will experience the life of a gladiator, from practicing on training grounds to participating in battles in the arena.
Players will be able to fight as Spartacus, Crixus, or a user-created gladiator and take part in fights with friends locally or via online multiplayer. The game also sports a worldwide leaderboard, as well as the voice and likeness of Liam McIntyre, who plays Spartacus on the TV show.
