Of course I'm excited. I'll probably get one like 1 year after it is introduced.

is not about the deals, is not about the price either, it's about killing old games. Consoles don't last forever, newer ones come out without BC... Gaming culture will die and gaming history will be forever lost. Gaming companies will milk us even harder than ever by re-releasing the same games over and over again since that will be the only way to get a hold on some of them

It works on PC because all the games (old and new) work on any PC plus piracy/hacking/mods helps to keep some old niche games alive too but console gaming does not have any of that and never will because they are closed platforms. Killing used games would be the worst thing that could happen to this industry.

I agree with this. As a result, companies will only stick with safe bets when developing games and creativity/ innovation take its toll. That's why the FPS genre is milked to death this generation while only a few RPG's where released in the 2nd half of this generation.

Nice move, trying to steal the hype from Sony's upcoming announcement. I know they're gonna need it.

Nintendo needs to start taking risks with unused IP's and familiar IP's that gamers saw nothing of during the Wii's cycle. Focus on making games rather than the hardware. All they did was confuse people with a "U" after the name and with no marketing, did they even expect that their console will sell automatically? The failed last gen, thinking that online gaming isn't important. After SSBB nothing else was worthwhile for me on the console so I did as any other gamer would do and sell it. This gen, I'm not falling for their shenanigans. I'm gonna sit back and wait for a decent library of games before i even consider buying it.
