Actually the sole reason why gaming is cheaper on PC is because of the way its distributed. Steam is a perfect example of this. 7 million active users don't lie.

It is called supply and demand and the equilibrium price. Very basic economics. If demand is high why would anyone reduce prices by 75%? Why would a game that launched at 50.00 now cost 20.00 after just a few months?
