Actually the sole reason why gaming is cheaper on PC is because of the way its distributed. Steam is a perfect example of this. 7 million active users don't lie.

I actually had a theory on how to fix the console gaming industry as a whole but sadly it didnt get as much attention as I thought it would. http://www.gamespot.com/forums/games-discussion-1000000/how-to-fix-the-gaming-industry-30947240/

You really believe that? The reason PC games become dirt cheap is because demand drops rock bottom in no time.

oh wow i didn't know that. looking forward to seeing your evidence :)

It is called supply and demand and the equilibrium price. Very basic economics. If demand is high why would anyone reduce prices by 75%? Why would a game that launched at 50.00 now cost 20.00 after just a few months?

In the history of Steam they have never released sales numbers. Top selling means nothing without numbers to back it up.

Steam has more people on it than xboxlive.

Lots of people just use it as a messenger and there are lots of free to play games like Dota 2 which is by far the most popular game on Steam. Everyone with a PC can play it. It does not require a $500 video card.

steam machines are not console they are smaller PCs and we already know one of the first steam machine will be 500 dollars with better specs than next gen console from iBuyerpower. They can play the exact same game as any other PCs just install a windowOS.

Installing windows just puts right back to why so many people don't bother with computers to play games. Too much to deal with. The vast majority of consumers don't have time for that.

Dude the consoles just launched. You really think the first week of sales decide anything?

You can't even play Battlefield 3 properly with an 8800GTX. An 8800GTX is worth about 10.00 today.

eBay

Actually you can, and it runs and looks much better (both in SP and MP) than the ps3 version.

Anyone can reduce the resolution to bare minimum. Notice the video isn't even HD. Howdoes that choppy video look better than the Ps3 is beyond me. Did you read the comments?

Arnoud1987000: on these settings with your setup i had 5 fps.. means your a total liar

On my Q6600, 8GB Ram and 9800GTX+ Battelfield 3 ran like shit and that was it for me. Packed up the desktop and got a laptop that can play the one PC game that I still play Dawn of War II.

Not really too useful. I have several devices on my 5 GHz band and see very little difference between 2.4 and it. I'd rather keep everything wired anyway.

That's weird. Maybe your internet isn't too fast to begin with and 2.4ghz is enough. The latency on 5ghz is much lower and network speed is much faster and so is the internet speed.
