What did you buy the system for gaming or media features? It does what its supposed to do and does it well
I would buy a console to do many more than just play games. Right now I am interested in the XBox because of features like voice commands, gestures, Live TV, HBO Prime and Amazon Prime.
That will take away the simplicity and easy of use of consoles. Then developers will have to design games for multiple configurations just like they have to do with PC. That is one reason why playing games on computers isn't as popular as it use to be and why it PC games are now console ports.
Nice knowing you XBox One.. You'd have to have problems if you bought an XBone over this.
Bought an Xbox One over a computer that we all already own? That's just ridiculous. Here is why consoles are so popular and will remain popular. No one has time to fiddle with game settings and all the other junk like drivers, incompatibility issues, game crashes etc etc. That's just the facts.
Most of the so called PC gamers here probably don't have a PC capable of pushing high graphics. According to Steam the HD3000 is the most popular graphics used to play steam games. That means most everyone here has a gaming PC.
according to steam stats you like to throw around 30% of hermits have a gpu on the level of X1 or better if you add together gpu's like ( 6850/6870,7770.gtx660,gtx560,gtx 570 etc etc etc ). Tell me when X1 reach a significant enough userbase and guess how many more pc gamers with better specs will be when the time comes ( if now on steam alone more than 20 million already have at least something similar )
I don't even know what GPU is in the Xbox and honestly don't care either. Here is another fun fact for you. The most popular game on Steam is Dota 2 which can play on intel graphics 3000. In second place is Team Fortress 2 a game from 2007 which is also able playable on intel graphics. My laptop is more than capable of maxing out these games.
3rd place is Football Manager.
So ? all 3 are great games . On consoles the most popular game is COD and is not exactly known to be a visual spectacle
and no Dota 2 at 1080p high details an Hd 3/4000 wont cut it
Dota 2 benchmark . 6670 is a faster GPu and wont cut it let alone the HD 4000
So according to you all games must be played at the maximum setting or not at all ? In that case you probably buy a video card every year.
Is this suppose to be news? PS3 price dropped after just a few months but that's because it wasn't doing to well. It dropped by $100.00. The X360 took nearly 2 years to drop and it wasn't by much.
PC games have voice chat. Most of the built in voice chat usually blows chunks but you would hear them say you can install skype or some other 3rd party application for voip. Like everyone has time for that. Most people don't bother and instead type quick messages that no one sees.
