@tim1935 Since they saw that video games were a billion dollar industry and thought that it would bring hundreds of jobs to the state. Of course they didn't realize that it is a niche industry with a high-rate of first time failure.

@Daemoroth @steelmouth Probably because MS never seems to give a damn about public perception. They release their product and then go back to working on something else.
So at what point is Congress going to step in and stop politicians and the media from inciting hatred and violent paranoia among the populace? Personally watching the news or a politicians press conference makes me more violent than playing GTA. Perhpas if the politicians like Sen. Feinstein bothered to get off her ass and actually fix the problems in the US rather than blame everything else innocent people might stop getting shot.
Politics is the number one killer of innocent people.

@getondees @Icy_the_penguin i can't find it but I could swear that another spree killer or serial killer once said that his goal was to out score previous killers back before video games were mainstream.
So in his opinion, gamers don't have equal rights and aren't allowed to defend themselves while being portrayed as violent, blood-lusting sociopaths by the government. The more things change, the more they stay same.
