@Ne-Plus-Ultra @Hrel @blackace @astronautb100 I grew up with Nintendo until the Xbox and PS2 came out. Then had both. Xbox controller was always better. Scientifically it's an ergonomical design where the PS controller isn't. The only reason you guys like it is because you adjusted to the flaws in it. I also have large hands, I'm 6'6", so I feel like I'm gonna break that fucking thing. I have a PS2 and still use it for games that aren't on anything else, shadow of collosus, but I do not like the controller and have to stop after 1-2 hours because my hand cramps up. They need to utilize the new knowledge out there about ergonomics, that's come out AFTER the PS1 came out, and improve their controller.
@blackace @astronautb100 Ya know that's true. Playstation REALLY needs to update that controller. They need to let go of their pride and just make something as close to the Xbox controller as possible; without infringing any patents. The Xbox controller is simply the best controller ever made period.
@VarietyMage Who going to release a tool set like that for free? I mean, there's Microsoft and the SDK for Arcade games; but that's really the only player. No one ever even talks about that; I bet you (or at least most people reading this) didn't even know Microsoft did that. It takes a SHIT TON of money to program a tool set like that now a days; games a WAY more advanced. It's like Unreal licensing their game engines; that makes game development much cheaper, but it still costs more than an individual can manage. Then there's marketing so someone can finally find your game. Minecraft was a flook, and that guy got VERY lucky. While I too would like to see such a toolset released, with a 3D library as well, cause **** drawing things. I just don't expect that to happen. Not to mention of any game studio ever did that then they'd lose money by not owning the games created using their tool set.

@PixelAddict Because they sold they Wii at a profit at launch, and continued to do so. They made like 25 bucks/console sold on the wii. That's why it's news. AND because they tried to sell the 3DS at a profit and it backfired. So they learned from that.
