All I need to know is how similar they are. I don't want to buy Fallout 3 only to find out that it feels that I'm playing the same game again with different missions

The gameplay mechanics are basically identical. You can't aim down the sights in Fallout 3 though. Maybe there's a mod out there for that. I always found the gameplay in New Vegas to be too "hectic" to aim down the sights. Most enemies charge at your kamikaze style. Butt anyway, Fallout 3 was great. There are always exceptions but for the most part, if you enjoyed New Vegas then you'll enjoy Fallout 3.

Its certainly not the only option when one decides what they want to do with their life, but is it any less of a rightful choice?

I did a mission where I had to take pictures of a trade station from different spots. So one spot was in a "high security" area and I was told to erase the pictures or have my ship confiscated. I chose to escape to the trade station to complete the mission. Now whenever I leave, the military ships attack me. I can shoot them down, but then a bunch of police come after me and I can't take them all out. I can't use the hyper drive to escape and there is no option to surrender. Does anyone know if there is any way out of this besides loading another saved game?

It is a very good idea but it here is it flaws:

Internet connections/bandwidth issues

Also, I already own consoles, why should I buy that when (based on the conference) the game are multi-platform (not exclusives) and i have a console which i can pla those games already. If ON LIVE is going to have a monthly charge, I can just pay a charge for gamefly. I don't think ON LIVE will be getting exclusives because then the games would not be exclusive
