Here is a novel idea, make games consumers don't want to sell or trade. But I think developers should be getting a small percentage with no impact on what the consumer pays or gets on sell back.

The Wii U isn't selling either. That causes a lack of third party support. Which is the exact reason the Wii U isn't selling and failing. The initial sales are crucial, not "stupid". No one can afford to produce a product and not sell it for a year. 20% equals out to be $80. Most gamers will get $80 out of there system in the first few years. You can wait till the price drops, but waiting years to save a few dollars sounds stupid to me. You have your console for a lesser amount of time before its outdated to save a few dollars? I dont see a $100 price drop anytime soon, 3+ years is my guess. If you think its going price drop 1/4 of the price in a year, your having delusions of granger.

Both companies would be screwed if everyone waited a year to buy the new console. It's only unsmart financially if YOU don't have the mone to buy it. Why wait a year for a small price decrease if your a serious gamer. I can see causal gamers waiting, or if you don't have the cash. But to say people who pre-ordered are stupid is the stupidist comment ever. Without pre-orders you wouldn't get your price drop, and if you did it would further in the life of the console.
