Well I am fine with it. But heres my points...

Bigger games on WiiU did 720p...i think some WiiU games did run at max...1080p 60FPS too. In terms of raw power SWITCH obviously tops WiiU so why cant they get this game (which looks comparably simple compared to larger games that is not like say an FPS or a large game like Xenoblade or Zelda BOTW...to run at 1080p 60 FPS when docked? strange?

Anyway whatever it is not about just visuals...its coming...got to be happy about the 3rd party support. Thanks.

@ballashotcaller: Yeah. I know almost forgot..which makes it even more groundbreaking.....sure we know it was bought out after the fact...but it is indeed first party. I have posted another comment on this. heh.

Well after my own thoughts AND reading some of your comments, I do hope there is nothing nefarious going on having to use XboxLive to allow cross play and I hope we do not have to PAY anything. I hope it is just to use the account to get on. But of course when you think about it they will use those numbers and say oh we have such and such gamers on XboxLive which will include PC, SWITCH and if Sony ever changed their minds...Playstation network of gamers too.

So it WILL BE a sly subtle way of gaining momentum FOR the Xbox brand make no mistake, heh.

BUT on the other hand CROSS PLATFORM multiplatform gaming, WE NEED this to be standard.

Now...I thought about this...this is a first party Microsoft game isn't it..they bought minecraft...so actually them requiring XBOXlive account sign should be the least of our worries....do you understand this like Nintendo allowing Microsoft and Sony into say a MARIO or ZELDA game...allowing it TO BE RELEASED ON their platform<(THINK ABOUT HOW ASTRONOMICAL THAT IS) AND TO BOOT...ALLOW FOR ONLINE cross-platform play AND having the need for Xbox and Playstation users to sign in using an NNID ..Nintendo Network ID account. This is a comparable example. Think about it gamers. It is insane but cool! heh.

This is crazy..because if it were a THIRD PARTY game... it would be the same but you would use accounts for those third party companies. For example... if it were an EA Game..an ORIGIN ACCOUNT across all platforms...whichever one you were using to go online with...and another example...a Ubisoft multiplatform game...you would sign in using your UPLAY account. See?

So all in all everyone who thinks Microsoft may be using this as a ploy for something else yeah they are, but consider what is happening here. Microsoft bought and OWNS Minecraft..it was a third party first but they bought and now OWN it so it is a first party game.

Microsoft is allowing a FIRST PARTY game on other consoles...it is also on PC. They are allowing also with this FIRST PARTY game other consoles not only to have it released on them but also ONLINE CROSS-PLATFORM play.

OK...think about that. That is pretty groundbreaking and game changing!

If it were a third party...all our consoles would connect to THEIR servers for the game and nobody would worry about any nefarious intentions. But because it is Microsoft one of the "BIG THREE" platform maker rival companies in this competitive gaming industry space people are GOING TO BE obviously apprehensive and question things, naturally.

But think about what I just wrote and you will see just like I have, why having to use an XboxLive account to sign in is perfectly understandable and a minuscule worry in comparison to what is taking place here. We are a part of gaming history right here. We as gamers should push and ask endlessly for this. Cross-platform between PC and all consoles should have been an industry standard by now, IMHO. heh.

Good Day, keep gaming & enjoy. Peace.

The fact that Nintendo is the one that always worried about the kids...which is one reason they implemented the FRIEND CODE system but yet they are doing this....shows you that Sony is blowing nothing but hot air here. IMHO.

Someone commented here that it is because it is on microsofts servers with them in control. IF so then it is a control ISSUE. I bet if Sony was the one who owned minecraft and Microsoft and Nintendo had to come to THEM they would be happy RIGHT?

Remember when Sony and Nintendo were to makes the playstation together. Sony seemingly wanted Nintendo to loose any recognition and call it SONY PLAYSTATION with no mention of Nintendo in name at all? hm?

Third party multilplayer games going cross platform online should of been done a decade ago. I have said it before. It should be a standard in the gaming industry.

When a third party makes a game I shuold not be restricted just because I own have a certain box. First party titles are one thing, each company can do whatever they like with their own properties but when it comes to THIRD PARTY games it should be open as none of the big three own those.

Think about it this way....when you watch TV no matter what brand you own I bet all the channels work. heheh.

It is pretty simple. The game industry is still young ..a lot of standards need to be set. Better middleware to port between different consoles of different power levels regardless of the different engines devs use(this will be tough but i think it can be worked on) AND some day every game that is third party multiplatform should have cross online play built in as standard.

It is a no brainer. I know a lot of gamers agree...and probably just like me have been wanting this for eons now.

It has happened sparingly in the past in special circumstances and only in certain games..heck....by Sony themselves in fact. Need for Speed Underground on PS2 connected to the PC version way back when i think. Two generations later its still not a standard. Come on. (on occasions after that sparingly....with other games i think have done the same.)

But by now this should really be a standard period. Someone should start a petition to show how much gamers want this feature.

We really should have this as standard by now IMHO. heh.

Well this is very typical EA so far. Good stuff though. New IP looks interesting and the new need for speed.

I also love star wars but never played Battlefront.

Good. GooT.
