I AM NOT a journalist. I am juts A GAMER. I love gamespot...and I have been actually slacking the past 5 years plus. I have not been as active on here....and i have been not completing/playing as much games as I used to in my twenties.(some of it due to finance...well MOST OF IT)
I am in my 30's now looking for work again. I have had 9 jobs all my life. Mostly temp and temp contracts and nothing permanent. I did happen to land a job recently but they threw me under the bus OR pulled the rug from underneath me whichever way it can be viewed(i personally say both). First day on the job(was told with only 30 minutes to go in the day(my first day) I wont be working here...and that it came from higher up(i asked what was it is it me ..what...no no so what then?)...and I need to contact my agency(it as through agency and I was told It would be permanent)
This was data entry/warehouse type of job dealing with sensitive scanning the barcodes of files into PC systems.
So sorry. I am not what you say. I am just a gamer that is a Nintendo fan and only buys NIntendo platforms. THe old cliche of "Nintendo fanboy" will come up. But I am not a fanBOY. I am man who prefers Nintendo made devices...big deal.

PS..I am an old user from the days of when gamespot was ... gamespot. IMHO. That Jeff Gerstmann incident (FIRED FOR A NON FAVOURALE REVIEW? AHEM) from may back I remember and I remember BUTTON MASHING! and All those cool old gamespot shows of that era..nostalgia. hEh.
@G_W_X: just to add that Wii U is Nintendo's most powerful console to date..they said it was powerful showed the tech demo..and that was it. Did not go on and on and on to tout it is the most powerful machine on the planet or anything. It has enough power it can do the job...then they showed us games..done. Not oh oh oh look at our power bells and whistlees wooooo and then later have to upgrade it to a point5 or later you find out oh shit it has to be upgraded to a point 5 because the truth is it doesn't hold up(but you touted all these specs..now to have to upgrade it hmmm lol
Sure they are coming with NX a totally new platform so quick(well that depends if they launch it in 2017 IF NOT 2016 it will be in line with the cycle in 2017 which is weird a feeling ....because wii u didnt even really show its true potential ..YET) because WiiU FLOPPED(but it so an underestimated console it is so much fun and the graphics are amazing HD ..nice crisp..fine Miiverse is Nintendo;s best online creation to date ..whats the issue? MEH). So there.
HEH. Anyway keep on gaming on w/e DEVICE/s you own. heh
Why it is all over?... because of Nintendo's CPU and GPU choice(BEING A WEAKER SYSTEM) as oppose to the other two? and maybe their online system which they have improved vastly (the e- shop has so much potential...even in the light of no 3rd party DISC game support..the games on e shop can sustain The Wii U as long as Nintendo wants it to IMHO.
Now to just drop a tid bit about the other two platforms that TOUT and HYPE their power prowess every generation to get gamers suckered in...see how stupid it has been? Now saying they want to bring PS4 point 5( or PS4K..which i will elaborate on more ) and XboxONE point 5.

All this talk about power (as one of those main selling points?) and yet they are STILL UNDERPOWERED boxes...always a step behind PC. So maybe then they should truthfully(not gonna happen) market them or just don't tout that power talk so much because we are at a point where we are going to hit a wall technically. True to life graphics ...for all boxes. Then what? Innovation will have to come from somewhere else...nobody is going to care how much grass your system can draw on screen...you can 't make it look realer than real. lol.

My point here is do you want this. To be stirred about power---(so heavily touted-Nintendo did not say that teh wii u is the most powerfull thing on the planet they just said it was capable it had power-definitely more than Wii did ..it is an HD box and that was that)--- in the original system...now having to upgrade already..before the cycles of these machines are even through. To then do something that you touted of the past system/s. I mean ...heh? you know? heh.
I mean I know tech updates and all that sure. But surely the PS4 and Xboxone should be able to fulfill their power promises..if not then it means that gamers have been duped..again.. Same goes for Nintendo with the original Wii remote to the then updated Wii motion Plus. But I suppose one could argue that technology got updates and so they had to wait and then implement. heh. However the original Wii remote with only one part of the motion tech was still very capable..did change gaming and did have a tremendous impact on gaming. But anyway.

Then when you get all comfortable they will bring out PS5 with 4K graphics as standard with 8K video capability(for 600-1000???). LOL Then next PS6 for 8K gaming with 16K video and so on and so forth?......ok we're getting ahead of ourselves?
Hey I am just pointing out some things that gamers MAYBE need to think about. It seems to me most gamers act like airheads. Feed too much into this stuff and the console makers do some shoddy shit. This includes Nintendo..
There was no way I was going to buy a CIRCLE PAD pro.Big hunk of plastic to add on a second stick for 3DS(that needed batteries..WTF?). They should of launched the NEW 3DS as 3DS PRO and market it as such how they did the circle pad pro. and hen talk about the half step specs and at least they too admitted it as not a 3DS successor just a small incremental upgrade). It would of been a better move to do this perhaps when they had circle pad pro or when they did come with the NEW 3DS: with the seocnd nub/stick the improved 3D viewing and CPU and more RAM and a call it 3DS PRO. Not required for old 3DS titles but those that take advantage of it and those 3DS games that could do with that second analogue nub/stick....perfect.
The point is...gamers needs to start voicing and acting on what they want and not want. Or else we wil alway get this disservice by our console makers. Keep taking the crap keep buying the crap you'll always be sold crap.
You see why i had to write this up. I want gamers to get it. Now before you run on on me for buying a WIIu and 3DS. These two systems are awesome systems. They make no claim about being the most powerful anything. They just work.. They do the business they have so many gems on them. Total;y capable systems each with unique selling points.
My point is about the industry and how gamers need to think. That is all.

Yeah NX controller is fake ..cant wait till E3 for ALL the announcements. heh. I always watch all 3 main console makers by the way. I also watch ubisoft usually too and maybe EA and others if i am in the mood.

I am a fanMAN of Nintendo and I WANT THIS. I have wanted it for a while as you logically conclude things...you wonder why don;t they network multi-platform games as standard? SO that like you said those who are friends on different consoles can play a multi platform release together.
Obviously first party games are out of the question as they belong to the appropriate company and their own brand ....what we are talking about is MULTI PLATFORM games...they shouldn't be restricted as first party games are ..it has always been a NO BRAINER. Like I said in a previous comment wanted this....it should have been done since ....10 years ago/two console generations ago IMHO. heh.
FOR example on PC: Choose Networks: -[PC]-[ALL][Playstation]-[Xbox]-[Nintendo]
etc etc....JUST SWAP IN THE NATIVE PLATFORM OF YOUR CHOICE AND HAVE THE OTHERS IN THAT MENU.
So much more gamers of variety and skill levels...and pretty much means almost always active networks with so many gamers around the world playing.Sweet.

Gaming is getting way too expensive. IMHO. All this just to play videogames? really? heh.
Now if someone came in with a much simpler more mass market device that did VR/augmentated reality in a simple less expensive and novel way.....and it worked! heh. for say only roughly 250-350 ...that'd be the ticket IMHO.
VR is a wallet breaker as anyone can see. heh. Plus i despise huge wonky wearable headsets BS. Sorry. I cant stand this stuff. But that is just me. I'm sure its great tech. for tech's sake..but this is way too over the top in price...for this awkward wonky thing on the head.
I think this is amazing! It's about time. I want the Nintendo NX to also join this fray. If Nintendo doesn't...(this coming from a core Nintendo fan that only ever owns Nintendo platforms and PC) It would make them giant a**holes not to join this. It would be a huge mistake! But I think they will and they better for MULTI-PLATFORM games sake. Seriously this is what we have been needing for TWO generations now. IMHO.

I envision a really simple menu in game that says Choose Networks:(for what gamers you want to play against):(Native Platform name here), ALL, PC, Xbox,Playstation)
This would mean more players online at all times for you to test your skill against. So if you platform network is say "dry" no problem...you will always have players to play. Games would have to be properly balanced though...pretty much spot on across PC,Xbox,Plasytation,NX. Wouldn't want any unfair advantage/ unbalanced kind of gameplay. Just saying. heh.
