I would learn to summon Bahamut and have him fly me around the world to impress lowly villagers with my greatness. LOL

It didn't bother me cuz I thought there were too many instant death moves in the originals. Kill, X Zone, Death, Doom, some other move that made a fissure, etc. There was Triple Foul in FF X which was essentially the same as Pain. Also, like Gorman said, Pearl is the exact same thing as Holy.ffsage

That is a good point. Too many of those makes the game less fun, whether you are dishing it out, or on the receiving end.

I have to agree with you guys on this one. I think character development has become a lost artform since FFVIII, with the move toward environments and unique battle systems taking center stage over everything else.

Those games could hype themselves, even if SE sat back and did nothing in terms of marketing. XII's reviews have been off the charts so far according to those who've tried the Japanese version or the American build, and XIII carries the name of the franchise to keep it in the news until SE decides to put out more substantive info.

I think in terms of just being evil, Kefka takes the cake. His deeds were pretty heinous.

No, don't make me choose!Ā  LOL, this is tough but my favorite soundtrack is FFX. My favorite songs, however, are:

FFVII: Battle Theme, Highwind Theme, One Winged Angel (of course)

FFVIII: The Man with the Machine Gun, Only a Plank Between One and Perdition, Premonition, Legendary Beast, Maybe I'm a Lion

FFX: To Zanarkand, Enemy Attack (battle theme), Servants of the Mountain, Via Purifico

Even though I remember the old school FF's (1-6), I would probably consider myself a reformist. My taste just happens to favor the newer FF's over the older ones. That being said, I have a lot of respect for the older FF's as they were the pioneers that made a debate like this possible. It is unfortunate, however, that the FF community is so divided and partisan when it comes to the actual content and substance of the games. While I did not jump out my seat when I heard FF III was finally being re-made and ported to the DS, I respect the fact that it was (and still is) a great game that everyone should at least give half a chance. Blind loyalty to one group of FF's over another only hurts theĀ user as your robbing yourself of a great gameplay experience.

I would have to say the hardest one i ever played was my copy of 7 because my disk was scratched and i faught with the final boss for 6 hours before i realized i was just looping in the battle. Other then that i would have to agree that 10 was a hard game but imo one of the best.Schonertod
Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that...I thought FFX was a little more challenging than FFVIII. I found it too easy to just use aura on Squall and Irvine and just blast my way through enemies. How about FFV? I heard from many people that it was the most difficult, however, I never played it.

The MGS series had reasonable success with its soundtracks. Not nearly as much as Final Fantasy, but pretty good nonetheless.
