@Monsta1217 I agree and to be honest neither witcher games were really up my alley so to speak but I bought them anyway purely to support their approach to game development, yeah its that important.
@KristenVr @GITY69 @edant79 Your right looking into it further it is unified memory and yes either way it will be much faster than current and most like future system ram for pc.
@prsansa I will dispute that as an avid strategy gamer PC has always been king in my opinion, but again that's only if you really like the strategy genre.
It is a culmination of the same message she has been saying for a while. It is also directly related to the PAX incident that caused massive overreaction including the resignation of to female exec's over a very foolish comment made by a single person. This was then exaggerated by the blog that was linked in the article. My point being that using these broad arguments paints a scenario of the average gamer to be a major sexist and creates problems where there are none. Statistically this is demonstrably true, if not every booth babe would be mobbed by hordes. There are a minority of games that cater to a minority niche. If that niche grows more power to them I wont complain. If my niche seems sexist to you that's fine you don't have to consume it live and let live.
@renger6002 Ageed. The majority of content by far is so p.c. there is no coherent argument for arguing its sexist in any way. I don't recall any major gaming site writer making a big deal about homosexual options in games, even though I find it personally disconcerting I'm not going to complain either. Does there exist a niche albeit a more popular one that is objectifying and sexist? Surely that argument can be made, however no one is trying to force their agenda to broaden this it simply is due to the majority demographic. If we can have homosexuality and female empowerment in games then please leave my bros before ho's achievements and scantily clad ninja women alone. Equality and fair treatment applies to everyone not just the minority.
@dustyguymon Ah, I also read the supposed "mortifying" experience recounted on the blog that was linked in the article. She uses a few isolated instances to portray the majority of gamers (as it seemed to me) in this light by saying it is industry wide problem. Really it was a bad joke gone wrong and when the perpetrator got some really negative feedback from the girls chose to escalate the situation. My argument centers around this point that how when considering the statistics of incidents like this it is very much an isolated incident that got blown way out of proportion. As this was a central tenant of her argument it was my intention to undermine her premise of it being a wide ranging problem. I also think that major strides have been made as far as inclusiveness goes but rather than a positive article championing these efforts, we get more ineffectual pointless whining.
