I figured it was time to make a new one of these. Summer season is upon us, and this thread will hopefully keep ya in the know for any deals and alerts that pop up on games. Feel free to post any you come across at any time!

For the 3Ds Super Monkey ball should be now 30 bucks, instead of the before price of 40.

On Square Enix's north American website, they are now selling some Psone games again. Chrono Cross and Final Fantasy 9 are among them. They are GH versions only, obviously.

On Live Knocked off about 75 percent of almost all it's game for this memorial day weekend. Today should be the last day to get a crack at the deal.

Just a reminder: the fleamarket/yard sale prime season starts now with it being Memorial day weekend and all. The summer time is a prime time to hit up a some yard sales, fleamarkets and even some pawn shops to find those hidden gems for your collection.

Over the years, companies have released the weirdest things for consoles and handhelds. What's the weirdest accessory (or accessories) you own for a console or handheld?

Does anyone here own one of these things? It also goes by then name C1 NES TV. There was also a SNES version. The featured shaper pictures then a normal tv then and a built in NES (or SNES) console. I was browsing the net and came across someone who has 3 of these.

[QUOTE="GAMECAMILLER"]

I went away for a week and visited a lot of fleamarkets and shops on on trip: Here's all my pickups from my trip:

someNONSENSE

Gotta love all those carts. How many games is this?! seems like you picked up an entire collection!

I like how you found a copy of Rainbow Sick Lockdown. lol

42 games, an action replay, and a console :P During memorial week, everyone is busy doing yard sales and fleamarkets and such, that where I was staying there were tons of them going on. So in between fishing and such, I visited a few here and there. :P

The walmart stuff I saw cause I had to get something for the place I was staying at. As for gamestop, I always make it a point to stop by one whereever I'm away as you never know what games might turn up at a little out of a way place.

As for Rainbow sick lockdown...I think it might be an interesting game :P

[QUOTE="WitIsWisdom"]

Well, I have been looking for a new vintage game store to call home... problem is, I found one, but it is over 5 hours from my house... eck. I will give the name and location only because I like you all so much (and the fact the manager said they get great business and regular shipments!) lol.

waflerevolution

this post is the best thing ever... my wife JUST this mornign said "we should go to chicago"... we live in MO.

I believe she's a keeper WitIsWisdom! :P

I went away for a week and visited a lot of fleamarkets and shops on on trip: Here's all my pickups from my trip:

Flea Market #1

X-Men 2, Sega Genesis, Cart only, $1

Might Morphin Power Rangers, Sega Genesis, Cart only, $1 (came inside a blue Nintendo NES case)

Mario Bros., NES, Cart only, $1 (came inside a clear Nintendo NES case)

Captain Skyhawk, NES, Cart only, $1 (came inside a clear pink NES case)

MIG 29 Soviet Fighter, NES, Cart only, $5 (This is an unlicensed NES game. It's got a silver metallic coating, with a switch on the back that enables it to be played on either an American or European NES system. It's actually supposed to be a really cool game from what I've seen and plays very similar to Afterburner from Sega.)

Dragon Warrior II, NES, Cart only, $5 (came inside a clear Nintendo NES case)

Dinosaurs For Hire, Sega Genesis, used, Complete, $5

Brutal Above the Claw, Sega 32X, used, Complete, $5

After Burner, Sega 32X, cart only, for Free (came with a deal with the last three games)

Flea Market #2

Monopoly Party, Gamecube, used, Complete, $2

SSX On Tour, PS2, used, Complete, $2

Dance Dance Revoloution Supernova, PS2, used, Complete, $2

Radical Psycho Machine Racing, SNES, Cart only, $2

Super High Impact, SNES, Cart only, $1

Gameshark Pro, N64, $2 (This is the 3.3 version. These were known to be kinda fickle and known to have a few issues, so I gotta be real careful with it. :P)

Antique Shop:

Final Fantasy, NES, Cart only, $5 (W/sleeve)

Wal-mart nearby where I was staying:

Drill Dozer, GBA, new, $18 (I already own this game but this is a new copy. My old one is a cart only copy. Nevertheless, What's this doing at a wal-mart in 2011?!)

Rhythm Heaven, DS, New, $14

The Incredible Hulk, PS2, new, $18

Dance Dance Revolution Supernova 2, PS2, new, $14 (I get the first one in a flea market and the second one at a store xD what a coincidence)

Iridium Runners, PS2, new, $9

Gamestop near where I was staying:

Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love (Premium Edition), PS2, new, $20 (finally found a copy! This includes a Japanese voice over disk, an artbook and a poster in a neat box. :D)

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2, PS2, used, complete, $27 (the Shin Megami games don't pop up in the wild too often)

Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, DS, used, complete, $18 (been searching for a copy for ages)

Flea Market #3:

Castlequest, NES, W/box and sleeve, $5

Mickey Mania: The Timeless Adventures of Micky Mouse, Sega CD, Complete w/ foam, $5

Batman Returns, Sega CD, Complete, $5 (one of the original carboard box Sega CD games)

The following three came free with the last 4 games:

Ready 2 Rumble boxing, Dreamcast, disk only, Free

I've been away non vacation guys and gals, but I've been keeping up on the CCU on the phone and I have seen there was some beens ome sweet pickups as of late! Congrats to all of you! :D

Well, I have been looking for a new vintage game store to call home... problem is, I found one, but it is over 5 hours from my house... eck. I will give the name and location only because I like you all so much (and the fact the manager said they get great business and regular shipments!) lol.

Ok, the name of the place is People Play Games, and it is located in downtown Chicago just a couple blocks from Wrigley Field (home of the Chicago Cubs).

My wife and I planned a trip to Gurnee IL for our kids to go to Key Lime Cove (an indoor water park/hotel), and Six Flags over the holiday weekend. We also went to the Jelly Belly factory in Wisconsin and to a huge mall out here, so it has been quite the adventure so far! We are headed back sometime tomorrow, but still have a few things planned :) Our kids are completely beat tired... lol

Anways, back to the new game store I found.

I looked for a place online near Chicago, and I found this store. By FAR the best game store I have EVER been to. Unlike most retro game stores that have the same 500 $3-$10 titles that are extremely common, this place has just about EVERYTHING you can imagine. Everything from CIB Atari, Vectrex, 3DO, NEO GEO, Imports, NES, SNES, GEN, Jaguar, Jaguar CD, Lynx, Turbo Grax... the list goes on and on.....

Just amazing!!! It isn't the biggest game store out there (in fact it is rather small), but it sure does pack a punch and utilizes every square inch of room with obscure and quality titles that you just CAN NOT in the wild these days!

I had a talk with the manager and he was telling me how his shop has won awards, and that people have planned trips from as far away as Rhode Island and Hawaii! Anyways though, as you can probably tell, I highly recommend this place!

I could have EASILY dropped thousands of dollars and not walked out with HALF of what I wanted, but here is what I did pick up.

1. Lock 'N' Chase (Intellivision, CIB, $4.95)

2. RISK (GEN, CIB, $3.95)

3. The Aquatic Games Starring James Pond and the Aquabats (GEN, missing manual, $3.95) I could not find this game when I searched.... only the SNES version popped up, and even it is listed entirely by the wrong name....

4. Centurion Defender of Rome (GEN, missing manual, $4.95)

5. Fatal Rewind (GEN, CIB, $5.95)

6. Gadget Twins (GEN, missing manual, $5.95)

7. Ex-Mutants (GEN, CIB, complete upgrade, $5.95)

8. Blades of Vengeance (GEN, CIB, $9.95) Been looking for this one for quite awhile :)

9. Midnight Resistance (GEN, CIB, complete upgrade, $10.95)

10. Romance of the Three Kingdoms III Dragon of Destiny (GEN, KOEI, missing manual, $11.95) check another one of my KOEI wish list!

11. Buck Rogers Countdown to Doomsday (GEN, missing manual, $13.95)

12. P.T.O.: Pacific Theater of Operations (GEN, complete with map and registration, KOEI, $14.95) and, check another off my KOEI wish list... :P

13. Landstalker (GEN, CIB, $14.95)

14. Beyond Oasis (GEN, CIB, $20.95)

Well, that's all for this outing, but I will be planning a trip back in the near future!!! I wanted to snag some decent GEN titles, and that is exactly what I did :)

WitIsWisdom
sounds like the store near me. It's worth the trip from what I see! Awesome pickups! Enjoy :D

Speaking of games, I purchased some more today......

- Fighting Force 2 (DC)* - $4.57 (accidentally duplicated myself...need to update my DC list)

KGKaiju

I actually did that the other day with my haul with the exact same game, LOL. I didn't realize I already had a copy of FF 2 on the dreamcast, when I made the purchases. xD
