The thing is Hitman Absolution is a stealth game, the Last of Us is a survival horror/action adventure. Stealth is not a focus and is only a bonus. In other words, who cares if Hitman has better stealth, that's all it has.
You're not making any sense. #1 you haven't played the Last of Us and #2 I guarantee it'll be talked about in 15-20 years alongside Bioshock & Uncharted 2.
#3 You're being blinded by nostalgia. If Ocarina of Time was released this console generation, it wouldn't have scored any higher than the Last of Us.
How do you explain GTA IV getting a 10, when majority of the people I've heard play it have hated it and said that San Andreas is better? 10's are bought off on this site.
I noticed that GameSpot's reviews turned to shit once they moved to the .5 increment back in June of 2007. Their old 5 category 100 point scale was amazing.
GameSpot give's 9's and 9.5's to ass games also. Assassin's Creed 1, No More Heroes, Halo Reach & Halo 4, etc.
They're not completely consistent. IGN actually doesn't give out 10's than frequently. When was their last 10 before The Last of Us (Also the only NEW IP to ever get a 10 from there)?
