Even if Sonic Colors does get great scores, I can't see myself thinking "He's back."

I think at the most I may conclude that, Sonic Team has made some positive steps forward for Sonic in 3d/2.5d. But until Sonic Team gives me an extremely tight controlled Sonic in both 3d/2.5d (ala Sonic Unleashed that felt loose in it's 2d portions), drops all extras (wisps, extra characters, humans, swords, non-stop running), bring back a significant amount of platforming and brings Sonic back to his roots I will not get excited for a Sonic game.

But I may purchase this game just because it'll be fun, and if it wasn't "Sonic" would probably be a great game (for anyone understanding what I mean by that.)
