Is there a noticable difference between the elite's 1080p HDMI and the normal 720p?

I was orginally going to buy an elite but I have heard that you can upgrade a premiums hard drive to 60gb or 120gb, is this true?

Hello and Please help me make a decision!
I'm searching for a new 32 inch TV mainly used for gaming and the occasional DVD or Blu-ray. Full HD is a must as well as a quality picture and low input lag and I also want to know if I can/should get 100hz as long as it doesn't cause input lag as I hear it would be good for viewing movies.

A few models I've got in mind are:
Panasonic Viera TXL32G10
Sony Bravia KDL-32v5500

and some older ones if they still are any good (contrast ratio worries me)
panasonic Viera TX-32LZD85
Sony KDL-32W4000

My Budget is around £600, hopefully below that figure.

Any recommendations on what TVs you have or any information you have would be fantastic! Please help!

PS I have this up on the AV forums also.

I'm looking to buy a 32" 1080p TV and was wanting to know if it is worth spending the extra cash to get 100hz as well. Does this improve gaming images? And will be important for the next gen as I want this TV to be as 'futureproof' as possible. I've heard problems with lag but the "game mode" that comes with most TVs are meant to prevent it, do they? And can I switch off 100hz if it is causing problems.

Also I will be using this for DVD's and possibly blu-ray in the future - does that make it worth while?

I am looking to buy a TV for mainly gaming. Currently wanting a full HD 32" and was wanting to know if it is worth paying extra for 100hz, I have heard many conflicting messages about 100hz and just want an answer. If it isn't necessary of the current gen would it be worth getting it in preparation for the next as I want as "futureproof" television as possible. Thank you.
