I dont' see why he hasn't reviewed any PS3 exclusives. So far, he's only done PC/360/Wii/PSP/DS. Let's see an Uncharted review!Mordred19
He sorta did heavenly sword, but that was only the demo.
[QUOTE="Captain-win"]First of, let me say if you've never played a DMC game you'll find yourself confused at the cheesy lines not realisisng thats part of the games appeal. Its stylish.
Moving on to the graphics, its a very nice upgrade from DMC3 obviously and considering this is the build from E3'06 I say it looks impressive. Deffinitely looking like more of an upgrade that Ninja Gaiden 2 is.
Gameplay, this game plays smoothly like a dream. Its more responsive than DMC3 and from what I can tell from Nero, there are huge possibilities for massive combo's. From playing this DEMO many of you DMC first timer's will come on here and say outright ridiculous things like "the game is too easy" and "combat was too simple".
Let me educate you a little on DMC. The game is too easy because this is a demo set on easy mode, just incase you didnt know DMC games are some of the hardest ever made. As for the combat being "too simple", this is not NG, DMC is about skill and acquiring combo's and learning how to execute them. Beng that in the demo you are basically stripped down to basic movies, you can't get an experience of what its like. Long story short, the gameplay is simple to you because you're a n00b. THATS IT. DMC3 starts of the same way but go further in the game and you play like this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=3T_RdUPNg6k [ link me plz ] and from what I hear DMC4 has even more combo possibilities with the inclusion of Nero's arm. I saw this in a thread today "No more heroes ahs better gameplay"
Basically what I'm saying is, if you've never played a DMC game, this DEMO will be shallow and easy to you - which its meant to be - but after you play the real game and can't get past the 3rd level ( lol Cerberus in DMC3 ) you'll come on SW complaining how hard it is and I will laugh...loudly...over the internetz :D
As you can tell, I LOVED IT. I own NG aswell but to me DMC4 is looking far more promising that NG2. Fans of this game will get it, as for you new comers, assuming DMC is easy is a fatal mistake on your part ;) lol ENJOY IT.

if youve never played dmc before how do you know its more smooth?
You fail at reading comprehension.
Most people about Vgchartz seem to say..."But, but, but teh Vgchartz is so inaccurate all the time and they heavily favor the Wii and always overestimate sales!"

This isn't about the them occasionally getting it right, it's about the fact that it's only occassionally. That pretty much decimates their credibility.
What gamers have to understand is that all of these sites are sponsored/funded by someone... If you piss off your support and they pull it, heads are gonna roll. Now that's not to say I believe what happened was true(I don't know enough of the details), however the events taking place recently are highly suspect. In any case I've always used reviews as a "tool" to gauge a game. There have been plenty of 7 and below games that I enjoyed, and a bunch of "AAA" games that I really didn't think too highly of (recently PDZ, Mario G). But at the end of the day I am my own review site... If I don't like a game I could give a damn what some reviewer thinks about it, I won't play it.
Jeff's situation is unfortunate but lets be honest here... Do you honestly think that these companies have absolutely NO say so in these reviews?

There will always be some influence, but when it becomes overt, then we have a problem, even if it is only precieved and not true. If I shot your friend, and the common perception is I did it because he was critical of me, even if not true, you're going to be greatly inclined not to openly be critical of me anymore. In this case, it's only your job, not your health at stake, but the principle is generally the same. There is a certain respect for professional journalism, and part of that assumes that the journalist is insolated from reprisals. When they have that insulation taken away, the assumption fails.
[QUOTE="DerekLoffin"][QUOTE="Can-o-Mark"]Boohoo, GS is a company. Companies are there to earn money. Apart from Gerstmanngate this guy seems to be whining about advertisments.
Can-o-Mark
Sure they are, but this company is also styled as a game reviewing site. When you let the companies dictate terms of those reviews, you've compromised the one reason you exist in the first place, to review fairly.
I can tell you, after this whole debacle, GS's reviews pretty much lost all their cred with me.
When did companies dictate the terms of reviews? I have yet to see an official annoucement about Jeff being fired because of the Kane and Lynch review. Other than some anonymous editor, who apparently likes working for a so called corrupt gaming website.
Well, you can go on being blissfully ignorant of all the signs, but I can't. No, GS hasn't come out and said, yes we let our advertisers influence our scores, but it's not like they're going to admit to it either.
