ONce again you dont need to adversite every freaking single game coming out :|
gamer0100
no you are totally right, you can't advertise every game you sell, but at least you should advertise your strongest game of the year
mp3 is not the strogets game that ssbb and mario glaxey
Even more reason to advertise the hell out of it since its not as strong a franchise as Mario or SSB.now your your twsing what you said.
I never said Metroid was stronger than Marios or SSB. I've been saying this whole time that nintendo isnt marketing metroid very well because its not uber casual. Its also one of their few games that isnt rate E.Listen im gonna lay the reality right here for yall you guys can then argue about it because BOTH of you are wrong in some ways.
Darthmatt chill out, you cant argue with the fact that they are focusing on the expanded market. No this isnt a bad thing at all. Nintendo will eventually find balance between all markets. Trust me on that one. They promote games that arent as hyped or known for a reason. To get casuals and the expanded market aware of such games. They know the expanded market watches tv. They gonna advertise cooking mama and mario party. But it doesnt mean they wont advertise games like Mario Strikers and Super Paper Mario. So now that you understand that TRUST ME and QUOTE ME on this. You will see an advertisement on tv once Metroid's date in at the most a week away. Once its released you should see some advertisements on tv and other places.
Now check this out and tell me if this makes sense. Dont u think Nintendo thought that people who look online and keep up to date with gaming news will know about metroid. And those are the people who ae gonna want to buy the game. Also the audience who will fill up most of there sales. Since this is the third game of the series, people would have known about the other two and want to buy this, thus huge advertisement isnt nessesary.
I totally understand what nintendo is doing here with their casual focus. Yeah I know, most people who like this serries already know about it. But is word of mouth enough? And why limit themselves when they could really branch out the serries? Do you think MS is going to sit on halo3 because its already popular? No, they want to get as many Halo virgins to buy that game. Maybe nintnedo doesnt want to throw down right before the halo launch, maybe they don't think its worth it at all since they seem to be focusing on the E for everyone crowd. They haven't even developed a game specific website for Metroid Prime 3. To me it says nintendo isn't trying very hard.
Dude are u not seeing yourself right now. Look in any july gaming magazine you will see a Metroid Preview. Nintendo gave an on stage demo of the game for E3. The made a show floor demo for the game. They got posters of this game in stores like EB.THere is alot more goin opn then word of mouth. Basically what your saying is just because they arent promoting this game to a halo lvl they are failing. Your making it seem like Nintendo has done nothing. The series is over dude. THis is the final game. of the Prime deries. THey already announced, there is nothing to branch out. Nintendo strategy doesnt really allow for any huge advertising of any one game. If u understood that we wouldnt be having this argument. Its impossible for Nintendo to promote every game like SSBB with daily updates on a website and what not. I'm not asking for daily updates, anything, just try finding the website for this game. There isnt one. It doesnt matter to me since I'm already informed, but all my wii owning co-workers had no idea this game existed before I told them. I'll say it again, nintendo isnt putting as much into this game because it isnt as casual. Cooking mama has a nice website, hell even that tingle game has a crazy website.
That would be sweet. I havent been too suprised in gaming lately. Wi-fi multiplayer???This is sad and all, but didn't anyone read Nintendo's response in the end of the article?
Ninty has been unusually quiet about a lot of stuff, maybe thats because they want to surprise us all with teh MEGATON!
maybe the reason they are not allowing too many Q&A is that their afraid their secret will be given away!
:o:o:o!
