BF1943 was the best Battlefield game of all time - it could possibly be the best shooter ever made. Quite ironic that an arcade game achieved a standard of gameplay that's never been matched.

@NagaSadow @DarthRevan As I explained the percentage of players who will play the GOTY is very small. My 8yo daughter has a 3ds but I sure as hell won't play a game on it when I can play it on my i7 laptop or my X360 or my PS3.

I love Gamespot but I can't help but go back to the days where Greg Kasavin and Jeff Gerstmann were there. I was watching GK's video review of Metroid Prime and that was Game of the Year material for sure - you just couldn't take your hands off it. The same goes for Red Dead Redemption. 4 games in the past 11 years have come from one software developer, namely Nintendo and this time it's for the 3ds which can't even provide nice graphics, music or a deep immersive experience.

@mickomania I agree, I thought Tomb Raider played in the dark on a large screen with proper sound was an incredible experience.

I'm really shocked by this because the vast majority of folks on this website will NOT get to play this game and therefore cannot agree or disagree with Gamespot. Zelda is an acquired taste - it's in fact one of the games that I couldn't get myself to play on the Nintendo 64. I wish they would have defended why they made such an unorthodox decision...

@bigmikeOK I agree, I don't think he's ever really played a game through. Didn't he become CEO of another gaming company? It's lights out for them soon....

@joke_man @DarthRevan @2Black2Strong I agree with everything you've said but my wallet is still thinner by $500 for playing on the X360 - did I enjoy it more? Yes I did. Did the Xbox experience cost more? No doubt! I could have lived without the X360 but I could never have lived without my PS3 which I use for Blu-rays.

@joke_man @DarthRevan @2Black2Strong The bigger cost was the Xbox live - that cost me as much as another console at launch or 8 games at almost full price.

@joke_man @DarthRevan @2Black2Strong I play a game that players put thousands of hours into (literally) - I also play on the PS3 and know the top players from the PS3 community - their consoles seem to last longer. It was a better-built console no doubt, the X360 suffered from the RDR and ventilation issues until the new one came out
