@Foreheadvcr A few bad messages is one thing. A petition to get someone fired, relentless abuse about her gender (on more than just this video) and ignorant prejudice should not be ignored. That is something more people should give a shit about and do something to limit.
@sscaling 1. You don't have to be female to be a feminist.
2. Its only satire when it is challenged. You clearly have no concept of what satire is. Try and find one female in the game that challenges her stereotype.
3. By personally attacking the reviewer you have lost all credibility.
@SurfaceNerd That article was opinionated and misinformed. Why should GTAV be cross referenced against GTA4 and 3 in order to give it its score? GTA4 is 5 years old and was held to a different standard. Also its only satire if you challenge the perspective.
For example Franklin is seen to be a stereotypical gang banger, but surprises you when you see he's actually quite smart, caring and loyal. This challenges our perspective. Having strippers being touched in a minigame, and only the male bouncers have issues with the women being touched has no satire. You cant throw around insults and call it satire.
M,F and T might be broken, mental and extreme cliches of themselves but, the difference is they have fully developed characters that show the HUMAN sides of them. There isn't a single female character in the game that shows anything other than sexist or racist stereotypes.
@arezina @rifleman90210 Yeah if you read some of the comments on the review (the ones Johnny picked where tame in comparison) there really where some sick and twisted things being said. Johnny had every right to be upset seeing a co-worker and fellow human being so sadistically abused.
@JustinKnight17 @Mishyana @julianboxe GTA4 was made 5 years ago. 5 years ago the standard of games was lower. Release GTA4 TODAY and it wouldn't get a 10.
And there's the fact that this time it was a different reviewer. You can't expect all the journalists to cross reference 5 year old reviews they didn't even write.

Also show me the bit where caro said she was deducting points because of sexism? That may be the case but it was never explicitly said. I personally would've deducted half a point for slightly awkward controls, maybe she did too.

@MasterOfMordor @Dan11223344 @avalanche814 @Critical_man Granted for the most part the black characters are seen as gang bangers throwing the N-word and i think in places that was overdone too. However, Franklin was portrayed as quite an empathetic loyal young man that has had it rough and fallen into the wrong lifestyle. THAT is satire, as young black males in America are often forced into this scenario and that is a fact. Look at Miami prisons for example. It may be to the extreme in a lot of cases, but he is still very human and a character you can relate to.
You can't however name a single female character that you can relate to on any level. They are all mocked for being crazy stereotypes of women. Compare that to GTA4 that had Kate McCreary and even the girlfriend who betrays Nico are very normal and you only hate the girlfriend because of the betrayal not because shes a crazy feminist runner or a cheating slutty wife.
I mean the closest GTAV comes to portraying any kind of woman you can feel anything for is the
*spoilers*
old Mexican lady/stereotypical maid Trevor kidnaps. And that is kind of sad.
