So that means it WON'T be coming spring 2014. Still going with holiday 2013, why would they want to miss a holiday season?

Nintendo has already come out and said they want to keep it at a price that is profitable yet will be able to stay that way for a long time so they won't have a 3DS situation. 299$ is perfect price for the console, it is still mass market price and it should be profitable.

@Vickman178 I am pretty sure Nintendo is going to sell under 299$. The hardware is not extremely powerful and I am sure they don't want a 3DS repeat.

Am i the only one who thought the 3DS line up looks fine? even spectacular? Kingdom Hearts 3D is coming at the end of July. New Super Mario bros 2 in august, a new paper mario, castlevania, luigi's mansion, and epic mickey for the 3DS.

That is already more games than I bought for the system last year.

For once Micheal Pachter is right. I am calling 299$ with Nintendo Land packed in.

@dustinthewind completely got it right. the main reason i got day 1 was not the software, which is actually pretty good if you actually give the games a try and don't listen to the reviews, it was the promise the games to come. I want to get as much as possible out of the 3ds and buying it day one i get to enjoy everything that system already has to offer. Ive heard someone say this before and i think it describes the launch perfectly. "why would nintendo need to release a huge game (like zelda,mario) if there was already so much hype for the 3ds already. Sell as much as you can now, and sell more later." P.S Nintendogs kicks ass.
