I soooooo can't wait until Christmas! It physically hurts to have the ps3 in the house and not be able to open it. The kids have 3 fulls days of school left including today and I am so tempted to set it up while they are gone but I have a feeling I'll never get it back in the box. I should probably just wrap it so its out of site. My son has no idea we're getting it!

Hey,sorry for not talking much,my gf awoke the day befor yesterday.

She survived the surgery, but there were complications and doctors had to induce a coma.

She lived,i'm so happy now.

And she says she wants to fight cancer, changed her mind.

:)

Jaysonguy

That's great news

Yes that is great news! Its also wonderful that she wants to fight it, attitude makes a big difference!

Grand Slam Tennis is probably your best bet since its the highest rated tennis game on metacritic. Don't go by the GS review, if you read the customer reviews on sites like amazon the game looks pretty good.

The re-premiere of Fear Factor.

Now, what was it that put me off from that watching that show?

"Your second task is sink your teeth in and eat 5 live scorpions"

Oh yeah...because of the 2nd task

wiifan001

Love Fear Factor! Last nights bath in the cow's blood was pretty gross, I probably would have thrown up before I even got in. I'm pretty sure that I'd never make it on as a contestant anyway just based on the eating challenges.:?

And hey, the wii u forum! Jordan you're going to have to try and fit the U into the new lounge name.

What age do you think is appropriate? In my mind, 8 is still pretty young but I'm just going by my own experience. Perhaps your experience has been different?

GreekGameManiac

I think they should know by 6-7.

After the age of 5 they aren't the same.

Really? Wow, that's young. What do you mean they're not the same? Can I assume that you have children?

Your kid is 8 and still thinks Santa Claus exists?GreekGameManiac

She sure does, she's asked him for an ipad, a camera and a doll. She's my youngest and if she's like the first two she'll probably believe until she's about grade 5 or 6 which I think is generally the time most find out because that's what they're talking about at school. When my son asked me I was honest with him and we had a discussion about why parents choose to have perpetrate the myth, I also explained that now that he knew he was 'in the club' so to speak. :) I'll admit he was a little upset BUT he went on to write a list of things he wanted and handed it to me instead of having to go through the whole letter thing (I always make them write a proper letter to Santa, helps teach them penmanship.)

Sure make it more tempting. ;) I'd already need to get Super Mario 3D and and I've seen the red bundle at Bestbuy for $199 CAD. I'd like MK, Nintendogs + cats and Animal crossing is coming out...so many games. If only asking Santa was free like my 8 year old thinks.

That's what they said for mine, and next thing you know, I've been stuck with this brunette nightmare for sixteen years!

GreekGameManiac

Lol.

Poor you!

Seriously,aren't you proud of her?

16,she's a woman by now :)

I think he means the brunette nightmare is the mother, not his child. At least I hope that's what he means. :P

I am so jealous of all the MK talk. I want it!! I haven't decided if Santa is going to bring me a 3DS or a tablet but I'm really leaning towards a 3SD for the games. I've been watching gameplay footage on youtube and I'm really impressed with MK. I can't wait for Christmas! PS3 will be in the house!! Skyward Sword and Harry Potter Lego will also be here.

Happy Thanksgiving to those of you celebrating today!

Thanks Jayson and Haz for the info on the photosites. I finally uploaded some images to the site Haz recommended and was working on a blog post but I kept getting html error messages when I tried to add more than one pic to the blog. So for now I've given up and only added the one pic of the "console" gravestone that I made this year.

I was going to finally upload a few halloween pics for my blog but the site I have used for years (imagecave) is no longer. Any suggestions for photo hosting sites since I can not upload it directly to my blog?
Just ordered a Wii. Amazon must be getting lots of orders, it says Est Delivery is the 29th.Allicrombie
Are you getting one of the new ones? Just a heads up in case you weren't aware they are are not GC compatible.

Well, it'll definitely makes things more interesting considering like you megavideogamer, I'm just used to the controller all this time.
Don't think I'll wait fot the Wii U either as it's not GCN b/c. Speaking of GCN, if I were to play GCN games on the Wii, I can only use the cla s s ic controller right?

Edit: One last thing, how will the Wii look on playing HDTV?enz2

If you are just buying a wii and want to play GC games be sure to get one of the older wiis that have the GC ports on it. I believe that the new wii just released has taken that out. You can use GC controllers to play GC games. Also you will want to buy HD cables for your hdtv.
