yeah both Halos were "LAGGY" but before the update I could at least play the game. If lag happened it happened for a few minutes and usually cleared up. I'm talking CONSTANT lag over the course of the last 3 weeks or so. EVERYTIME we try to host a match on ODST it is constantly hammered by strong lag, it NEVER runs smoothly, and the Sky Player lags big time too even off peak. Its not just a little problem its pretty huge and so far no one else outside the UK seems to get it.... strange??

lol I agree about Sky Player and the performance in general but my problem is purely linked to live I think. The network is just slow. and its not just me, my friend in Leeds has the same exact problem, we try to play online together and with 2 other people in firefight mode for example and it just sticks, the lag is immense, 2 frames per minute or so. Any of the panes in the dashboard that are tied to online content take forever, the friends pane take forever to populate its just ridiculously slow.

I have cleared the cache, reset all equipment and done everything I can think of including disconnecting from my wireless and reconnecting etc. Nothing works!! I am going to try a cable connection tonight when I get in but if that works then it is only a workaround, I still want a solution as I only have one ethernet port on my hub and its usually used by my desktop!! Anyway please help if you can!!

Hi gang, I can't see this in recent threads so I'm just going to go for it and apologise in advance if theres a fix that I haven't seen.

EVER since the new update I've experienced absolutely shocking xbox live performance. I'm talking across the board, trying to play Halo 3 ODST the lag is unplayable, its about 2 frames every 5 minutes. Watching Sky Player is 9 times out of 10 a waste of time as it is constantly buffering EVEN on the lowest quality settings. Downloads of even the smallest amounts take forever too.

Now your probably going to suggest checking the network connection, my wireless network strength, turn off and on, turn all other equipment off etc etc, I have done all of the above and STILL the performance is horrible. Whats more is that the internet is working perfectly on my laptop and desktop, the sky player works fine on my laptop and when I go on xbox live I never leave either online.

I have heard some comments about wireless being a problem lately but SURELY if my network tests etc all come back with full bars, perfect connections and the rest then it can't be the wireless right? Also today was the FIRST day I was able to connect to xbox.com so that has to say something too right? Anyway so the bottom line is that ever since the update the performance has been terrible, to the point of not being able to play online AT ALL and not being able to use Sky Player online AT ALL.

I have tried all the tests I can think of, I even cleared the harddrives cache but nadda zip zilch. So can anyone help at all? Is it a question of Microsoft broke everyones xbox's with the new update and we all suddenly have to use wired?? Because that would be hilarious seeing as they spent the time, money and effort to make the new 360 250gb Slim model WIRELESS built in.... right??

Any tips or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

seriously... is this possible? PSO was the culmination of Dreamcast vision and just general all round AWESOMENESS!! I mean who else remembers being among the 10s of thousands of people playing that game at its height and thinking "This is the start of something enormous" god I miss those days. Seriously if PSO v2 was to come out on XBLA I would literally quit my job, move back in with my parents and never leave my bedroom again, I'd play that game forever if possible, it was one of the greatest times of my young life playing that game online with friends and family across the world. I seriously couldn't take it if they released a list of DC games to come to XBLA and they DIDN'T include PSO. Please keep us updated!!

its not an exact science to be fair, when I had been sent back the replacement 360 the MAJORITY of my XBLA games and DLC worked fine its just when my girlfriend tried to use it in her offline profile none of them worked and 1 or 2 wouldn't work for me either. So we transferred them to solve the problem.

yes. Disc 2 of ODST is halo 3 minus the campaign. You can even earn acheivements and stuff from halo 3 on the disc that comes with ODST. It will show up in your recent games as halo 3. Your online status will say you are playing halo 3. To be very clear, it is halo 3.:PI_am_theOpus

why shouldn't I buy them for Halo 3? If you can't actually use them in Halo 3, only ODST then I will probably have to, I much prefer 3 to ODST so far. They are listed under Halo 3 on XBLA, 1 of them is about 160 MS points the other is 800 or so. Might see if I can find some vouchers somewhere

Second question: the Halo 3 ODST Multiplayer disc, does that allow you to use the Mythic map packs on HALO 3 or is it purely for use in ODST?? I mean is it worth me buying the mythic map packs for the Halo 3 game or not seeing as I have the multiplayer disc for ODST? Thanks
