@BLKCrystilMage: Not even close. The overall socio-political story in Trails is far more complicated and masterplanned in such a way that it rivals both Final Fantasy and Persona.

The main reason it isn't more popular is because the PSP was a flop, the second game was sold on PSP after it died, XSEED never localized Zero/Azure, and the Trails of Cold Steel games were released on both the Vita and PS3 as the PS4 came out.

The best place to play ALL the games is on PC, and people aren't willing to do that. I know I wasn't. I was just fortunate enough to discover the series as I still had my Vita and PS3 plugged in.

@Dissentioncc: I don't know. Maybe people that actually spent money on their games and doesn't want them collecting dust on the shelf.

@Darth_Tyrranus: The Shulk amiibo is readily available at Best Buy now, and the reason why they were scarce is because he's an obscure character. The reason why you see Mario, Luigi, and Pikachu on shelves consistently is because they're known and they sell, as made evident by that chart.

I didn't like this episode nearly as much as quite a few people did. Nowhere near as intense as the last episode.

Another good review, Carolyn.

While I don't expect the game to break out of its linearity, I hope it puts players in unenviable psychological positions the same way it did last year.

Well-written review, but it's hard to agree with most of the judgements.

"Even on Pro difficulty, finding an open receiver to catch a 30 yard pass is easy."

You realize you're playing on the second easiest setting right? Most committed Madden players will play in All-Madden, and online play is in All-Pro. It's pretty hard to complete long passes with assisted CPU in these settings unless you're really good at using your targeted WR. Not to mention the Ball Hawk feature has made racking interceptions a whole lot easier.

This is also the first review I've read praising Jim Nantz and Phil Simms. There's hardly anything new in the commentary repertoire from last year except for addressing new starting QBs in different places.

If you're gonna be on a gaming network over a social network, you might want to rethink your social life.

Still doesn't look good. EA Sports is in desperate need of competition, but they're too scared to welcome it.

Great job as usual, guys. As I was telling Carolyn on Twitter, I'm glad this segment exists (if I've actually finished the game), as it really provides me with a sense of closure since I virtually have nobody to talk to about a game after finishing it.

Something you guys didn't go over was whether you expect or want a sequel. Opinions there?

Personally, like The Last of Us, I will be in extreme dismay if there was one.

I played quite a lengthy demo that left me in awe. Could be a dark horse for GOTY.
