Xbox One Launch Coverage and Next-Gen Marathon (Highlights)
Danny O'Dwyer and Chris Watters kick it off at 8pm PST with Xbox One launch party fun from New York to San Francisco and show off new games and console features.
I wasn't planning on getting either the Xbox One or the PS4. Through some really fortunate circumstances and a whole lot of luck, I won an Xbox One. Do you guys recommend keeping it, even if there truly aren't any launch games out that I'm genuinely interested in (Big RPGamer), or am I better off selling it and repurchasing it, possibly at a lower price when more games will be readily available. I'm really torn on this mainly because the Xbox One does seem awesome, but the lackluster launch games are hard to overlook. Any advice?
Welcome to the 21st century: no flying cars, no cure for the common cold, and console graphics only marginally improved over a system that's a decade old. Technology in retrograde.
How many hours of that livestream were dedicated to FIFA? At least eighteen from the look of it. Thanks for doing it, though.
ok,, just off the top of your heads, who wins ps4 or xbox1...I personally switched to ps4 from xbox b/c I wanted a gaming system not an entertainment center
Are you guys really playing PS4 during xbox1 launch coverage? Epic! I guess I was right to make switch to Playstation4!
I noticed the Blu-Ray player does not play Dolby TrueHD & DTS-HD Master Audio. What a HUGE mistake. So I either have to use my PS3 or go out and buy a Blu-Ray player now if I want to be able to watch those movies and utilize those features built in the Blu-Ray disks. I don't get it, the Xbox One is suppose to be All in one entertainment system for our living rooms, but you skimp on what a Home Theater is all about.
@legendsliyer I'm pretty sure it will not support MKV, because it's your typical pirated movie container.
You can do that if you havent unboxed its worth quite a bit of dough. and just wait till the games a plenty. PS4 is just good harware console. while Xbone is All in one Console. its all about he games games games
@gnome123abc Why not keep it? There are going to be good games for it and try to imagine what it could do in another 2 years. The 360 didnt do much at launch but look at it now.
@Saxondale i couldnt agree more... Rehashes all over
@Saxondale Considering COD 3 and The Last of Us came out on the same console we have a long way to go yet.
@yemal I as curious about this as well.. I haven't gotten or seen anyone answered on this yet.
@madmoonman Both win. They are both good systems. Each has pros and cons and I enjoy features on each. The XBONE is a great gaming system. Not just a media/entertainment center. And I've heard quite a few complainers when it comes to the PS4 not having enough or as much as the XBONE. It's all a matter of personal preference. And they are playing both to show each of them off. It's not surprising since the PS4 just came out. It may be the XBONE launch, but doesn't mean they can't enjoy both and show 'em off.
@clifdogg17 a couple hours ago
@timthegem this is a shot in the dark but i think its your mother
@shadowedbear Yeah, I might keep it, AC:BF looks pretty sick and Battlefield 4 seems pretty solid; plus the 3DS XL I originally actually wanted should definitely keep me occupied till some other releases. Thanks a lot guys!
@Dannystaples14 @Saxondale Yeah, Danny, but it has been sooooo long. Granted, at the end of this current gen cycle games like COD3 and Last of Us look good but they are still 3-5 years behind most high end PC graphics. I was hoping for a huge leap forward, not a baby step. Unreal Engine 4 should be the baseline in graphical performance at this late stage.
@infrablade I loved breath of fire too
@Saxondale @Dannystaples14 takes a ton of man power to make anything next gen, tons! But stuff u don't notice as much is getting better, ai and the like. I always said, even last gen, u have to pump in a lot of hours and cash to tap the potential, but hopefully texture library's and such will help out.
