@Dannystaples14 @CoricidinDXM Okay, let's run with that, he publishes 6 articles a day. An article averages out to be about 200-300 words. He's only writing about 1,000-1,500 words a day. That is about 4-5 pages on MS Word. Since I am an English teacher, yes I do this every day, as well as read at least ten to fifteen times that every single day. I am studying for my Professorship now, and I assure you that if I handed in something so laden with typos, I would not be graduating. This is his job, a very easy one at that, there is suppose to be no mistakes. Rest assured, I write much much much more for my job and I do a much much much better job at it. If you'd actually like to watch me do better, I can forward you some of my thesis papers or maybe you could come over for tea while I write another one. Lastly, I'd like to point out that your idea of shooting him is a little extreme. I don't want to see that, I just want to see him fired or reprimanded and start to write like a professional. Case closed.
A plural noun does not take a singular verb. Singular verbs end with an "s"; for example, "the boy runs down the street." Notice how runs ends with an "s" when the noun (boy) is singular. The fact that Eddie just wrote that "Analysts predicts" is completely ignorant and ignores eighth grade ELA mechanics. It should read that "Analysts predict", since the noun is plural, you drop the "s" on the verb. Yes, I am an English teacher and this is nitpicking, but come on.... you're a professional journalist, get it right, dumby.
@Dannystaples14 @CoricidinDXM It's terrible because his job is to write articles, and this is the second typo of his that I caught today. It's unprofessional and shows a lack of attention to detail. I give a shit because it's really just kind of pathetic that he doesn't proofread his articles. You make this mistakes at actual professional organizations like NY Times or other respected periodicals and you lose your job. His only job is to write... you think he'd be good at it, and obviously you give a shit, because you took the time out of your day to respond to me, sooo......
Dude, do you even proofread anything you write? This is the second article today with a typo. You wrote, "Xbox Music for the web will reportedly work in the same was Spotify and Google Play Music." However, was is supposed to be "as". Dude, you suck.
