[QUOTE="excelR83"][QUOTE="carljohnson3456"][QUOTE="vicmackey39"] I really feel sorry for Cows
If Microsoft see an exclusive they want on another system they stop at nothing to get it
Sony just act like they dont want it and keep pumping out crappy first/second party games

lol I can almost agree, althought I think interview was kinda bound to fail. It's like some other poster said, if he said he would like Gears, Sony would be bashed for looking desperate. If he said bullet to the head... well... yeah, lol.
But yeah, and what's worse than them acting like they dont care is when they keep pumping out first and second party games and promote them forever and act as if they dont even have multiplat games on the system. I mean, I've seen LBP commercials since last Christmas and the game hasnt even come out yet, but hardly saw any Sony marketing for GTAIV. Kinda crazy. Oh, and even with MGS4. The only tv ad I've seen for it includes GT5P and LBP. WTF? It's like they're saying, "Here, buy this game worthy of a multimillion dollar campaign but we're going to be cheap and only include 5 seconds of it into this 30 second commercials with LBP and GT5P."
/rant.
It's kind of a good strategy though. Let Microsoft do your advertising for you. You would see 100 NHL 08 commercials an hour here in Canada, lots of COD4, GTA4 ones, MS spent all this money marketing them and in the end, people bought them for whichever console they owned or bought the one they were predisposed to. I don't think anyone is watching commercials going "oh I need a 360 to play GTA". In the end it's free marketing for games they don't really need to market anyway.
They should have been much more aggressive with MGS4, I agree, because this game really delivers the goods and holds up to scrutiny.
In defense of their marketing with LBP, I will give them carte blanche. LBP doing well means a lot for the industry, not just PS3, and as far as I'm concerned they can do whatever it takes to get this one to as many people as possible. If LBP fails I might just quit gaming for life, and not because it's an exclusive or some nonsense. If LBP fails and Cooking Mama turns a profit gaming as we know it is done for.
people did buy gta for the 360 at a 2 to 1 ratio...and games tend to sell better on the 360. True.
