Depends on what you like to play. Call of Duty 4 is going to be awesome, and I'm pretty sure the multiplayer is going to rock. If you want to spend hours killing others, then COD4 is for you.

Guitar Hero 3 is going to rock. Hard. And online play is great. However, I'm sure sooner or later you're going to get tired of playing the same songs over and over. COD4, in my opinion, has more replay value.

I don't know too much about Mercenaries 2, so you're going to have to get more info on that.

And about the HD thing... not too savy on that either.

Do you think that Army of Two's co-op multi-player concept will be recieved with open arms or do you think people out there will reject the idea and stick with free-for-all blood fests?

I know this is a matter of personal preference, but I would still love to hear what eveyone thinks.

It's not because they're worried. It's because, as others before me have said, it has not lived up to our expectations.

Plus, why in the world would anyone want to buy a $599 system when it only has a few games that aren't really very good for it in the first place? That's like buying a $50,000 car that looks absolutely amazing, but only tops off at 60 mph.

Why not get a system that's fun to play (Wii) or get one that has already amassed a decent library of games (Xbox 360)?

Sure, the PS3 will be coming out with some big-name titles (MGS 4, FF XIII), but will this be enough to satisfy the gaming market?

Sequels just won't cut it.

Sure, the potential is there, but if Sony doesn't get more 3rd party support and realize that $599 isn't a very good deal, then it's doomed to fail.

There's a couple that grate my nerves sometimes...

1.) The Teen / child / girl / boy who discovers through some amazingly coincidental tragedy that she / he / it has a latent power / talent / gift / destiny (or all of the above!) and that they are the ONLY ONE who can defeat the ancient / arch-evil / semi-evil / quasi-evil spirit / invasion / ancient-evil...etc. They are all pretty much inter-changeable though I have only scratched the surface really and the other is...

2.) Pretty much all rpg's seem to be "coming-of-age" drama's. Thats' all there is to it, whether it's a kid discovering his / her identity after amnesia or that they have a destiny that they cannot escape etc...all amounts to a coming of age drama. It's rarely a normal story of love, innocence lost, turning form good to evil, revenge (most rpg's are not that dark sadly) and they always seem to avoid adult issues.

Well that's my two pence worth :)

Make that 4 cents.

I'm pretty picky. I refuse to play sports games.
"Hey man, wanna play Madden 2055?"
"Go die somewhere."
Yeah, that's the usual response. I also don't play FPS because... well, I suck at them. I'm not as quick as others, and I really don't like getting aggrivated.

So what do I play? RPGs, adventure, fighting and music games. Preferrably by Capcom, Konami or Atlus. SCEA gets my vote every once in a while.

I for one am looking forward to it. I love 2D games and I'm hoping that this game will give me a great gaming experience. From what I saw so far, it looks pretty good. I'm hoping more footage comes out so I can draw a fair view on it.

[QUOTE="Broken56"]

Simple question.

What is the name of the opening song? (We're talking the anime opening, before you select "New Game.")

I've been trying to download just that song, but I don't know its name.

I know it's not a very popular game, but it can't hurt to ask.

Thanks.

Aztlan_920228

I think its karma

Nope, can't find that song. It's not even a title of a song. I went here, http://www.bluelaguna.net/music/tales-of-the-abyss-ost-soundtrack/mp3s.php, and I just wanted to get the opening theme. I'm not about to stream each and every song. If you go there, you'll know why.
