The graphics may lack polish (what can you expect when the game has been in development for several years), but the fundamentals are what are drawing me in. Nothing got my blood pumping like playing as a marine in the AvP games (although the most recent one was "meh"), and this looks like a worthy followup for inducing panic-inducing terror online and off. I'm not expecting this to be a groundbreaking masterpiece, I'm just looking forward to a good sequel to the films, and some white-knuckle pulse rifle battles while being swarmed by xenos.Left4Dead using the Aliens universe is awesome in my book, can't understand the hate people are giving it.

@endorbr Dear God, I hope so. This is one of the flagship cross-buy games! I want this for both systems!

I'm sure it will be a fine action game, but dammit, I liked Dead Space for isolation and fear! I didn't want a cover system and human enemies, at least co-op is optional and the story supposedly changes slightly depending on which mode you play (dropping the extra character for the most part in solo).

I got the game as part of the new Vita bundle, I'd say if anyone is looking to get a vita, this is a fantastic way to do it. Yes, the game isn't perfect, but it's still impressive in it's scope and imitation of console gaming on a portable platform. And the bundle costs the same as the standalone system (AND with a memory card included).I agree the Vita AC series needs improvement, and most of the issues here I agree with, but as a portable game goes it's pretty good. I'd gave it a 7.5, which, although people on the internet seem to think means "TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, BURN IT WITH FIRE", actually means "good" in my book.

@realguitarhero5 Well, they mean Metal Gear as a franchise is 25 years old, but yeah, it's a confusing title on it's own.

@OmegaGear True, and I may have jumped the gun on saying such considering nothing specific is announced for such an edition. However, since MG Online has been shut down, I still have doubts that they are really intent on adding any new content, especially considering the release date of NOV 30 is so close and no one had heard anything about it prior. I feel it would just be a reissue. We'll have to wait and hear what Konami may or may not offer with it.

Cool box art, but otherwise worthless to anyone who already owns MGS4.That said, it's still a GREAT game. The entire cohesive series is an insane pinnacle of interactive storytelling and some nerve-wracking stealth.

Well, that's a boring way to advertise new content. Well done, team!

Seriously, Frostbite 2 is intended for explosions and mayhem, so why do they show static environments instead of some good ol' carnage people expect out of a FB2 game?

It's like they're not even trying with this game. Seriously!

@alenth You said: " i think you are really judging the game because of the video review" and "maybe you people can play it even as a rental before making some extreme conclusions about it"

As I said in my previous comment, I DID PLAY THE GAME. I didn't watch any video reviews, I borrowed the game from a friend and we played a few hours of each of the three main campaigns. I didn't like it for all of the reasons I explained in the comment before (bad control mechanics, lack of challenge, half-baked and uninspired story, over-the-top sillyness, etc.), which are my opinions based on the 8-10 hour chunk of game that I played. You kind of jumped to the conclusion that I'm hating on the game on a contrarian basis, like some kind of hipster, using only Gamespot's low-scoring review as a basis for judgement. I'm not. I genuinely dislike the game, based on actual playing experience. I've been a RE fan since 1996 on the original Playstation, and I think RE6 is a poor quality game from both a franchise standpoint AND just an all-around action game standpoint. If they were going to change up the RE formula, they could have at least tried to do it competently.
